normally it wouldnt bother me that an opera got canceled
i wouldnt have even cared a slight bit. but the reasoning here brings up a good question of how our society is going to change in order to keep peace.

its an opera being cancelled because some are worried it will upset muslims.
After its premiere in 2003, the production by Hans Neuenfels drew widespread criticism over a scene in which King Idomeneo presents the severed heads not only of the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon, but also of Mohammed, Jesus and Buddha
funny how it is only the muslims they are worrying about offending. the opera seems to equally portray prophet/prophet like people from greek mythology, Christianity, and Buddhism.
