How many posters...

I just found this on another board and thought it was worth stealing... I can't give credit to whoever wrote it in the first place as it was listed as stolen there...

How many forum posters does it take to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light
bulb could have been changed differently

33 to post "Me too"

19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three"

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs

27 to point out that light bulbs have never been changed correctly and we
need to come up with many new ways

23 to say how it's always been done is just fine

2 to correct spelling/grammar of previous posts

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ...

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"

15 know-it-alls who claim *they* were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct

306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty

2 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot
handle the light bulb controversy

44 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

1 to stray off topic and mention Dave Letterman and GE

46 to hijack the thread with David Letterman jokes

12 to insert a Christian viewpoint and discuss "Let there be light" at length

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.

You forgot about the stoned poster who makes what they think is a philosophical post about the nature of the lightbulb, but it makes no sense to anyone else because they are not high enough to appreciate the duality of the lightbulb and it's simple existence.

The posters who Hijack the thread saying that it's America's/Bush's/Terrorist/Athiest/Godnuts fault that the bulb needed changing in the first place.

The 20 plus posters that will pop in to just say +1

The 3 posters who will post the "Jeeze not this shit again" pics

and the one mod who will hand out warngings to all trolls, Flamebaiters and other rule breakers... followed by the 203 cries of Mod Bias..

Don't forget the 10 posters who will argue that it is Bush/Clinton's fault that the light bulb burned out in the first place and the if only we all would become conservative/liberal the light bulbs would last forever.

And the 2 posters who wonder why we need light bulbs when candles and oil lamps would be just fine.

And the 4 posters who think the burned out light bulb is a terrorist act and we need to bomb someone for it.

And the 1 poster who feels that we need a Constitutional amendment to protect light bulbs

We have completely forgotten the 17 posters who will argue that the OP should have posted a link to prove that lightbulbs need changing

And the 3 who will post links to pics of pornographic websites featuring underage lighbulbs

And the 12 who will take that as an invitation to argue that pedophilia is perfectly legal if the lights are on

And the 9 who will go off to post copy cat threads about changing underwear, tires, your mind and horses mid stream.

Maybe they are the higher power. Look at how we worship them, spending money on them, letting them take over our homes. We're always turning them on, even when we aren't in the mood. We can't live without them. We're their slaves!

tottally at their mercy... when they decide to go out... we're left in the dark... to get them to work, we have to screw them right or they just sit there.
