Erm...normal tea.

Whatever's standard as tea here.....I don't know what you foreigners would call it. We just call it tea.

It usually also has a fruit flavor with it. Celestial Seasonings has a really good one with pear.

It's kinda like green tea, but "silkier"

I don't know how else to describe it.

The only tea I drink much is mugicha, which is a japanese tea-drink made from roasted barley, usually served cold. I like green tea as well, and have never had any other kinds.

I cant drink tea, as such (got a real problem with a sleep disorder). I do like Chamomile sometimes, or Valerian (not the way to take Valerian, I know, but its the power of suggestion).

Hu-Kwa from Mark T. Wendell. I personally love Lapsang Souchong; it's my favorite tea...I just don't see how people could hate that sweet, malty tea combined with the scent and flavor of pine smoke.

Iced.

Oh, I think it's a mix of Black/Orange or somesuch. Iced, with sugar is how it's supposed to be made.

I like different kinds of tea, depending on my mood, the time of day, etc. Morning Thunder for a lift, green tea with sushi, camomille in the evening, chai when I'm feeling Boho. As a mild Anglophile living in Les Etats Unis, I will drink real English tea whenever I can get it ;)

Peppermint, chamomile, mugicha, genmai (green tea with toasted rice), and Earl Grey, in that order

Bancha (late season, second crop green tea), hibiscus, rose hip, and lemon grass teas are all good too.

It usually also has a fruit flavor with it. Celestial Seasonings has a really good one with pear.

It's kinda like green tea, but "silkier"

I don't know how else to describe it.

And it's also supposed to be one of the best sources of catechins. (Green tea's very good as well.)

The only tea I drink much is mugicha, which is a japanese tea-drink made from roasted barley, usually served cold. I like green tea as well, and have never had any other kinds.

Love that mugicha

Sweet tea!

Iced.

Oh, I think it's a mix of Black/Orange or somesuch. Iced, with sugar is how it's supposed to be made.

Even growing up in Texas, I always hated that sweet tea.

Not really. It's like green tea, but with a silkier taste. I really don't know how to describe it other than that.

Chai Latte and Green Tea Latte from Starbucks.

But I miss the ubiquitous roadside tea stalls in India, where you can get nice cup of tea, some snack, a cigarette and local news - all for <1/5 of a dollar.

Usually a blend of cut black and orange pekoe. My favorite too.

I'm trying to get people to start calling herbal "teas" what they really are, and as the OP correctly called them, "herban infusions." I have high hopes for my modest crusade. Everyone looked at me like I had two heads when I started using the phrase "buttload."

It's baisicly tea that hasn't gotten ripe yet.

I wonder what that means for it's nutritional quality.

For herbal tea, either peppermint or Licorice.

For other tea, a specific type grown only in Yunnan province in China. Yunnan is next to Tibet, and the tea grows 2000m+ above sea level. No idea what it's called, the package is all in Chinese. I do know it's very expensive here in HK, so it must be good. I bought in Yunnan cheap.

my favorite is the kind of green i call balistic green because the leaves curl up in these tight little green balls the size of b-b's.

well that's one of my favorites. my other is lapsong souchong.

i have a favorite variety of coffee too. that is usualy called ethiopian mocha harrare.

my favorite thing to drink cold is to squeze a little lemmon into a large container of water and keep it in the refrigerator.

yah that's the stuff. i can't get it where i live now or at least don't know of any place local that i can. when i lived up in portland oregon almost 20 years ago now i used to have it a lot. that and green tea ice cream which is also wonderful stuff. i did visit a japanese website recently that had a picture of another variety that looked similar but they wanted a fortune to sell it direct.

that stuff, you can just drop it in the steaming water because it almost desolves into super tenderness the leaves once they've steeped. just amazing wonderful taste, at least it is to me.

I've yet to meet a tea that I didn't like, but I don't have a favourite. Recently I've been sampling various teas, infusions and blends from a shop called Teavana, and those are pretty good (IMO). I like to have a tisane before I go to bed, and I found I quite like this one (http://store.teavana.com/nightnight.html). Don't usually like chamomile though.

While not pefectly accurate, that's close enough of a description.

It's the lack of the catechins destroying oxidation that's supposed to make it healthier.

I just noticed that red tea isn't an option in the poll.

It's pretty good, too. Smells like chewing tobacco (the nice smelling stuff from the pouch, not that horrid stuff from the can), but tastes good.
