How do you choose your music?

Pretty self-explanatory. I choose based on sound and lyrics: I want it to sound good and I want the message to be good.

I don't hear lyrics. Voices in music sound like noise to me. I use a variety of methods to choose music, but the predominate factor is that it sounds good. Lyrics mean nothing to me, so I can enjoy a totally shallow song that sounds good. This is one of the reasons why my tastes in music span practically all genres.

Lyrics are important, but so is the sound. It's 50/50.

Lyrics are unimportant. Music is all about sound.
I usually first choose the song based on sound to get interested in it. Lyrics aren't as big a deal to me as long as it looks like the artist put some effort and talent into creating the lyrics.

Both and neither: most of the time, I don't really notice the sound or lyrics, but I pay attention to how the music effects my thoughts and emotion. If a song doesn't make me feel anything, I won't take it if it is free; but if a song (like "The Beaches of St. Valery" by the Battlefield Band) can move me to tears, I'll take it at almost any cost.
Pretty self-explanatory. I choose based on sound and lyrics: I want it to sound good and I want the message to be good.I usually pick music for fast and steady rhythms and plenty of texture. Sometimes when I need it though, I'll pick music for lyrics. That's mainly when I'm depressed. Usually I couldn't care less about lyrics, but there are certain bands that I wouldn't listen to even if I liked the melody.

Lyrics, but if it sounds like goat belching out language I don't care if says "KSp is God", it's still crap.
