In America...

Does Republican-style conservatism have a monopoly on the public image of Christianity?

It seems, especially among the American atheists here, that all Christians are assumed to be conservative, pro-war, pro-Bush, etc.

Why is that? There are Christians of every ideology you can think of throughout the world and probably throughout America too. Generalising like that is unfair.

Same reason that all Muslims are assumed to be fascist, terroristic, America-and-Democracy-and-Western-Civilization-hating criminals who want to rape your kids and blow up your dog.

Same reason that all liberals are assumed to be America-hating, Bush-bashing, drug-legalizing, fetus aborting, gay marrying criminals who would like nothing better than to see Jesus and the saints permanently banished from the Public Square.

Generalizing is easy and fun! Try it! Be the first on your block to lump all your neighbors into one short-sghted category.

Indeed, looks like everyone there is a prejudicial ass.
