Poll?
The best sports atmosphere I've ever been to is a toss up between:
Shea Stadium Mike Piazza's last day as a New York Met.
Shea Stadium New York Mets 1st division title in 18 years clinching game.
Most emotional I've ever been because of sports on both of those days.

Best sports atosphere in America is the Super Bowl, which you totally forgot. And Baseball is on a totally different level then poker or dominos.
Windsor Park, Belfast.
Any Northern Ireland match...especially against a big team expected to destry us, but we're getting a good result against.
As for the best 'sporting' atmosphere...this years Ryder Cup.

Boston, when the Red Sox won the World Series.
Chicago, if the Cubs ever win the World Series.

Dominos...more...exciting...*cries*
Baseball is not for every person, at all, but poker is not a sporting event. They can show it on ESPN all they want, they can't change it into a sport.

100% Agreement here.
Poker, dominoes, and any other similar games should take a cue from the development of Chess Boxing (http://site.wcbo.org/content/index_en.html).
All that being said, I'm going with Ice Hockey!

Being down in the lowest deck, right in the middle of the curve of Ohio Stadium at the OSU Michigan Game is going to be one of the great experiences of my time at college. I'll be one of the first raving loonies on the field after OSU wins, and guarantees our trip to the Fiesta Bowl! Woohoo!
(Yes, I'm an OSU student, and I have tickets in Row Seven, AA Deck, Section 9, right here (http://www.gotickets.com/venues/oh/ohio_stadium.php).

Not even the world series (although, that was quite insane), but the entire series against the yankees. It was kind of like Miracle on Ice, where the most important game wasn't entirely the one that got the title.
World Cup, Game for third place, Fanmile, Berlin.

You son of a bitch...
Well, I plan to camp out in front of the stadium so I can get in the front row of the students section and hurl expletives and obscenities at OSU when they come to East Lansing and get their asses womped.

The AFL (Aussie Rules) Grand Final. 95,000+ screaming fans crammed into the MCG. It truly kicks arse.
