Oh god, I don't know..

Gym was awsome because we did nothing.
Math was fun because we did nothing, and it was filled with funny people.
Arts nice, calm, peaceful.
History is great, the teacher is a funny guy, plus he is liberal!
English is nice, too much reading, though.
Never had to take language classes..

I'm going to have to say Home EC for the win.

Man, that was a great fucking class.

EDIT: It seems my school teaches yoga for one of their classes. Wish I was in there.. they just lay there..

I assumed that too large a majority would choose PE if it was added -- and it's not really a class anyway.

if I have GCSE in it then it had better well be a class *waves endless sheets on the human body, drug abuse, the socio-economic effects and advantages of sport and one hell of a long assessment on my games partners physical ability in badminton*

I love my art class cause it's a Studio Art and so I get to do what I want except I have one broad spectrum project each quarter. This term's is a self-portrait. But I'm holding off on that till I finish the painting I'm working on right now.

Global Security and Cooperation, Foreign Policy III, and Intelligence in International Politics. Technically three different classes, but I took them at the same time, all with the same professor. So really just one class with three different lecture times. :D

So..."politics-related."

This would really have been a good poll to make multi-choice. Let's put it this way: in college, I seriously considered triple-majoring in music, English, and chemistry. Had I been insane enough to do so, and had my college had minors, I probably would have considered minoring in some combination of French, biology, psychology/neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, and comparative literature. I'm kind of a fan of class in general. ;)

If I had to pick just one for "most enjoyable CLASS," I suppose it would be English, as class discussions are typically more fun than labs and lectures. Music, however, probably wins for "most enjoyable subject to learn."

Multi-choice next time, seriously. :p

oh and I picked arts because they involve the greatest creativity and freedom and thus the most fun (plus in Drama you can dress in womens cloths and get away with it:p)

oh in that case you would hate it Rugby in English weather is only for real men who basically play American football in nothing but shorts! (I would of killed for American football on some days)

And how can you hate P.E you basically play games all lesson and then (if you do it as GCSE) do a little theory work on why if you take some performance enhancing drugs you can cover it up by a drug that makes you urinate (Paula Radcliff?)

edit: why did I get taught how to cheat anyways?

It is very easy to hate PE, provided you either (a) don't like sports, or (b) don't like sports as much as the jackasses in your class who like to scream obscenities at anyone who ever misses the ball. Ah, the things I do not miss about my childhood.

Oh it's easy to hate PE. Yay lets play games that I'm useless at so all the other kids can take the piss. That's fun. I used to arrange to have music lessons in the middle of PE :D

My favorite class would probably be Dante in Translation--reading four different versions of Inferno and Purgatorio in one semester (with the Italian on the facing page, so we had dictionaries as well) was a trip and a half.

Seconded. That sounds like it could be a really fantastic course.

I suppose if I had to pick a favorite individual course I took...hmm. AP Chemistry in high school featured the best teacher I have ever had in any subject, at any level. The advanced poetry analysis course I took in college with a past Poet Laureate of the United States was pretty neat - we'd spend as much as two or three class periods discussing a single sonnet. History of Programmatic Music was one of the most utterly fascinating and fun classes I've ever taken, and Epistemology and Metaphysics featured many of the best class discussions. Paleogeography had awesome field trips, and Theatre 101 was just plain fun, if pathetically easy to ace. And pretty much every music course I ever took had more fun homework than I could ever get in any other department.

How can I choooooooooooose? :p

I'm still at school, but unfortunately the school I'm at now doesn't offer many art subjects. I do drama, but I'd have to say the subjects I most enjoyed at my old school were art, photography and media. I also did dance and drama, which was great. Actually, I love philosophy and English as well.

For me, it's a tough choice between science and Latin. I'll choose science, since I plan to major in chemistry and I'm taking AP Chem and Physics Honors now.

And I've alway absolutely hated PE. Having to wear shorts (which I hate) and play sports that I'm bad at (we never played shuffleboard. I'm okay at that), getting made fun of, feeling pain the next day, and not being able to take another academic elective because of the PE requirement are all things that I hated. True, it's an easy A and I always got 100%, (the grade was never based on skill, only participation and dressing out, and I always participated and dressed out.) but it doesn't give me a chance to use my brain. I got so bored in there that once I almost made a graph of the gym.

my favourite subject was Economics, though largely because it was political in nature the way they taught it... and plenty of debate, too :)
also found Physics and bits of Chemistry facinating, loved History, and the bits of philosophy i did at uni were great.

biology 'cause the teacher had this unbelievable cynism. the classes were quite funny.. and if they weren't i was asleep.

spanish: but just because i like the language.. most time i slept during classes

english (as a foreign language): i think one of the rare classes, where i didn't sleep a single time.

physics: i never paid attention, but these classes were great to produce some creative ideas, make homework for ohter classes, write or play chess with your bank neighbour

philosophy was great, sometimes the stress got terribly on my nerves, but in general it was really interesting and the discussions were free for everyone... the teacher didn't even try to convince us, he just tried to keep the dicussion going

so: i think english and philosophy

I picked arts because it's the one subject that has actually stuck with me through the years. I can still go into an art museum, see a painting or a sculpture by a famous artist and be awed that I have the opportunity to be in the same room with a piece of art.

Of course, this has nothing to do with getting a job or being productive in the world, but it's not like most of the things that they teach you in high school have anything to do with that either.

During highschool my favourite class would probably have to be art, along with biology. Although i did enjoy art more then bio, i went -and still am- studying bio but i guess that's probably because I'm better at biology then art (not that my art was bad, but just not amasing enough to really be able to live off of probably- although photography was my speciality and i was pretty good at that)

You can always work at a museum, be a art teacher, or something of the like.
But i think your wrong, art is very productive for society and the world in general.
