America Weakly

Well, it appears that the Republican penchant of twisting the truth to vilify liberals has finally found a creative outlet: America Weakly (http://www.americaweakly.com/), the country's first satirical news source with a conservative slant.

Produced by the RNC itself, America Weakly is like the Onion without the wit. It posits a future where the Dems have taken back Congress and are *surprise* destroying America.

Some choice headlines:

"Just Say ‘No’: Dems End Security Measures (http://www.americaweakly.com/News/Read.aspx?ID=2058)"

"All Tied Up: Supremes Still Stuck at 4-4 (http://americaweakly.com/News/Read.aspx?ID=2057)"

"Impeachment Hearings Gaveled In (http://www.americaweakly.com/default.aspx)"

Etc., etc. etc.

They even have a horoscope (http://www.americaweakly.com/horoscope/)...

Stuff like this usually dies out...unless someone suddenly declares it worth hearing. I think the same of Cindy and Coulter. Why is it news when an extremist says something extreme? And why do those who villify both, speak of them the most?

And they couldn't even make it semi-funny....

They need a lesson in satire from somebody good....Rory Bremner or someone...

I am having some real difficulty to not start laughing and never stop. Amazing crap you are showing us. But I guess even Republicans can have a sense of humor. ;)

Which one would that be, if I may ask...?

I love that one! "These people... want to kill... us." So subtle.

It's like Jon Stewart's impression of Bush:

"Alright, I want you to pitchure yer family dead. They're dead on the floor. The terrests got 'em. They're on the floor, bleedin, dyin, dead. I want you to get that image in yer head. You got it? Is it in there? Alright. Now go vote! Heh heh heh..." :D

Take that, Jon Stewart! Next up is a TV news show.I hope not. After the colored toilet paper they call "Liberality" there's no need for the Right to sink even deeper.

That was the funniest "comic" I've ever seen. The bad-ass bionic Hannity just killed me...

That was the funniest "comic" I've ever seen. The bad-ass bionic Hannity just killed me...I find it interesting how they think the UN would fly UN flags in the US, have a police force that can keep a population as heavily armed as Americans in check, and rearrange its seating to make sure that France, Germany, Spain, and Canada sit next to each other.
(Not to mention that a certain Usama bin Laden seems to be able to speak perfect English all of a sudden...)

That's the Miller High Life guy doing the voiceover. Like I needed another reason not to drink that beer. :p

One thing's for sure--there's no requirement for truth in advertising.
