How to Spot a Jap

I find WWII-era propaganda to be both comical and subtly disturbing...
I wonder when they'll come out with the sequel, "How to Spot Arabs, Mexicans, and Other Dirty Ferners." :p

Oh, jeebus.
Does this remind anyone else of the hitler youth "untermensch" class in school
"Die Nase von den Juden sieht wie ein nummer sechs"
(sorry if that was wrong, only my 2nd year of german)

Do those rules still apply if I'm half-Japanese? Cause now I might not be able to be the spy who infiltrates the American government and leads Japan to world domination. :(
Oh well, I guess I'll have to think of a new carreer.

LOL!
List of ways to spot a Jap:
He can't pronounce our liquid "L"...hisses any S sound
Almost no waist line
Stocky build
Short, squat, fairly heavy beard...lemon yellow skin slanted eyes
G-string
Wide spaces between toes[/b]
Aside from that, this book seems to be quite unhelpful, I wonder if any of the people who contributed had ever met a 'jap' or if they just learned all this stuff from comic books :P
Here I thought the "Why we Fight: Japan" film was bad.
Do those rules still apply if I'm half-Japanese?
It depends. Can you pronounce our liquid "S"? Do you shuffle? Are you always unhappy? Do you wear a G-string? All are typical Japanese traits. The U.S. Government said so.

Teacher: "No, Johnny, don't ever believe such rumors. That is the kind of talk an enemy would have you believe!")

My version of How to Spot a Jap...
Look around the room, anyone who isn't you is Japanese. :D
I actually feel really sorry for anyone who took this to heart as good informtion. They probably managed to accuse a number of inocent people as being Japanese or missed a number of real spies.

V-2s are out of date? SCUDs (basically modern versions of V2s, if I'm not much mistaken) seemed rather scary during the Gulf War, and that was after the 50s.
From the H-Bomb and you (http://www.ep.tc/comics/h-bomb/h-13.html)
Hmmm where have I heard this before?
We Americans must get used to the threat of war as a new way of life.

I once saw a WWII-era comic strip panel doing a parody of that where two Chinese people were looking at a poster describing how to tell an American from a Nazi. The caption read "I don't care what they say, I still can't tell them apart."

Heh. I'm surprised the cartoonist didn't get thrown in jail for obstructing the war effort.
