Alright, I have what my mom once called "Tinkeritis". I love to take stuff apart. So, when this came up: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260031010165

I couldn't resist bidding (that, and I didn't think I'd win).

So, I got a 1G iPod Shuffle for a grand total of $10.01. Well, I recieved it today, played around with it a bit (didn't take it apart yet), and low and behold, I got it to work. All it took was charging the battery and updating the iPod's firmware. As far as I can tell, it works as good as my personal 1G Shuffle.

Don't you just love it when stuff like this happens? Has this happened to you?

I don't think you quite grasp the joke here:

Somebody sold him a perfectly good Ipod shuffle for a penny(plus shipping). :p

Good job. Get them to reduce the shipping next time.

I'm still waiting for the mint 1962 Corvette that has been tucked away in a barn for the last forty years because it won't start.

I love smug comments like that. What's the last piece of trash you resurrected?

Good for you. We need more tinkerers.
