So foot fetishism is now a religion?

Some dude got busted in Georgia for kissing a woman's feet in a Walmart. He claimed it was a religious ritual. It seems he's been spotted performing his ritual at another walmart before. So if foot fetishism is considered a religion can fetishists get a tax break on DVDs and membership to foot fetish websites?

How dare there be a foot related religion before there's a boob related religion. This speaks poorly about mankind.

I wish someone would lick my feet….

Does this mean that my ‘no fat chicks’ religion will take hold *sins*

you know that religious people don't get tax writeoffs for anything right? I mean a church is exempt on most things, but not the actual members.

Yes, I know that. I just needed to pad the original post so it wouldn't get deleted as "article spam" or whatever when the mods saw it.

OK, so he starts the Church of Foot Worship, donates his salary to the Church, and uses it to buy things he needs in order to get by and worship feet. He could very easily pass it off as legitimate expenses. Granted, if people could do that, no one would ever pay taxes, but it's a way he could get around having to pay taxes.

I don't think you realize how much paperwork, redtape and talking to idiots from the IRS you have to do to start a church for one of their "recognized religions" to try to pull that with anything not exactly in their little list? it's near impossible, you would have to break the law.

As I said, it wouldn't work, but if the whole thing is a religious ritual, and this action were to fly in court, then we would have reason to believe that this man could pull a stunt like this.

That or he could just start it under one of the "established" religions and change it up completely.

hmmm... that reminds me of this time when i was really drunk (along with my my sister and friends) and we started looking at each others feet- the idea was to find out who had the weirdest feet- and my sister ended up touching one of my friends feet all over (she does have pretty weird feet) and people's feet were being catagorised... one of the catagories was 'wild and cartoonish':p

even if it goes over in court, it could take up to 10 years for the IRS to approve it as a religion, and if he started it under an "established" religion that is on the IRS list, he probably wouldn't make it for the first year, he would be heavily audited and his deductions disallowed, and probably fined and charged with tax fraud.

I think the woman whose feet were being kissed would have an opinion about this.

I have my suspicions that Jesus was a foot fetishist. Why wash people's feet? Why not their hands? Humility? Come off your cross already. You were in it for the feet.

It was because peoples feet became really dirty walking through the streets in that part of the world. Cleaning them becomes a little neccessary. And humility yes.

Besides, I don't see how anyone would want to touch peoples feet. Feet are often such disgusting parts of the body.

I'm aware. I was just taking the opportunity to make fun of Jesus. :p
