Well this is kind of screwed up.

Iraqi shiite militias have begun talking kids as young as six or seven into throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at US convoys in an effort to trick or provoke US troops into firing on them.

Imagine what kind of scumbag one has to be to convince children to get themselves killed for a public relations victory. Saddam was probably right to kill Muqtada al-Sadr's father and oppress his followers. These people are the lowest form of human life and I can understand why Saddam had many of them tortured and killed.

Anyone who would do such a thing with children deserves to be hanged, IMO.

What's new about that? They were doing it when I was there in '05...

However, I completely agree with your sentiments.

I think there comes a point in life when you have to seriously ask yourself if some people are just born evil.

I reached that point when I first learned of Adolf Hitler.

I wonder if the kids really are being encouraged by Shiite militants directly, or if it's just a 'hating Americans is cool' sort of thing.

While I'm not sure I can support actions of a corrupt dictatorial government, I do still find it sad that people are swayed by these types of PR setups. I would think, and perhaps this is unnecessary optimism of human inteligence, that people would catch on that children and civilians are being used for political gain, much like many of the reports and photographs of civilan casualties. But...people are stupid.

Is it bad to wish people were smarter, knowing they arn't?

a man who did what he thought was best for his people? I don’t think these children are doing it because they think its for the best there just having a bit of fun after being encouraged

I think there's a point where you have to ask yourself...is genocide really best for my people? War I could even see, because I could almost follow that logic. But genocide?
