I just find it hard to believe that hernias kill five times as many people as terrorists...or three times as many people as accidental gunshots. I never thought of hernias as lethal...just debilitating and obnoxious to repair.

Well, how did 59,730 'die from work'? Personally, if a job was that bad, I'd just find another one.

The walking down the street one is fake.
First, it's a round number. Second, it has a period. Third, who dies of walking down the street? Except criminality, or falling wherever while walking on it.

It seems that the origina; poster didn't source this, so, I might as well before people jump all over them and say that this is a bunch of crap (even if it is).

I think Being shot by law enforcement: 3,949 really needs to pull its finger out & work much harder, if it wants to have any chance of catching Driving off the road: 254,419. I really would have expected a much better effort.

So, the number one reason people die in the US is because the people who are dying are stupid?
