How many people here have weird allergies, or allergies in general?

I have one, kiwi fruit, which results in frequent New Zealand jokes.

Anyone else?

30 minutes worth, trying to find a belt buckle that doesn't have any is horrible, itching , bleeding sores right above my crotch.

i'm allergic to kiwi also, and figs do the same thing kiwi does: make my mouth itch/burn.

I'm allergic to pollen, and I'm also allergic to mold when it's high although I'm nowhere near as sensitive to mold as I am pollen.

Well, if I take medicine I'm usually okay. However, I do try to stay away from smelling them...I had some bad experiences when I was a little kid.

I'm allergic to aspirin.

I used to have that too. Apparently I grew out of it sometime in my 20's, as it isn't an issue anymore. Have a very slight allergy to milk oddly enough, dirt. Which sucks, cause I like milk.

The flowers did things to me...

A friend and I were mocking someone who wrote really nonsensical poems, but I was able to actually come up with a meaning for the one we wrote it the end, but anyway my point is that on of the lines was "a flower budding in my sandwich"

that could get creepy right there.

My girlfriend is too... Easy solution is to cover the belt buckle in a thin coating of superglue. Problem solved.

I'm allergic to most dish washing solvents. I don't own a dishwasher either :(

My main allergies are dust mites and mold spores, which can cause serious asthma attacks. I also have gastro issues with aspirin.

Im allergic to moxacilin(not sure of spelling) Its a type of medicine for the common cold, if my memory serves correctly.

Are you perchance thinking of Amoxicillin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amoxicillin), the antibiotic?

Oddly, I am allergic to allergy medication.

It is true. A Benedryl (or other antihistimine) can make me want to take my skin off, drowsy, hyper, irritable, and completely wired for up to three days.

It is true. A Benedryl (or other antihistimine) can make me want to take my skin off, drowsy, hyper, irritable, and completely wired for up to three days.

I used to live on the gelcap Benedryl's, but they recently changed the formula because of all the gay hillbillies making crystal meth. Now I can only get the caplets, which don't work for me (though oddly have all the same ingredients.)

The really wierd thing is, since I stopped taking it, I've had hardly any allergy symptoms. Today I have a bit of a sore throat, but for the most part, it's been several weeks and I haven't had one day of humungously swollen eyes, dripping wet nasal passages, or a nose so itchy that I wanted to pull it right off my face.

I'm not sure if I was allergic or just addicted.

I'm allergic to pollen and cold wt weather. Honestly, plus I live in Ireland which doesn't go down too well.

Whenever it's cold and rainy, I swell up like a balloon and start itching all over.

Okay, prepare yourselves... I am allergic to: gluten, wheat, corn, rulide, wasps, msg, yeast, mango, chicken, nickel, garlic, onions, penicillin, funghi (mushrooms), mould (eg. mould on brie cheese), minerals (i know, it's weird), sugar, cats, dust, olive oil (skin reaction only), heaps of beauty products, and pretty much everything else. I don't really care though.

[EDIT: And the whooping cough vaccine.]

I'm glad I'm not, but that is not very uncommon when it comes to contact allergies. "Good" thing they decided to make our "new" (compared to the Deutsche Mark) Euro coins out of a nickel alloy.

I'm allergic to pollen, and I'm also allergic to mold when it's high although I'm nowhere near as sensitive to mold as I am pollen.
Same here: Pollen (only the really small stuff carried by the wind: birch, grass and other crops), mold, house dust, and I have the feeling not to use fabric softener...
Oh, and I know instantly when someone has used hairspray or deodorant in the house. That fine nebulized mist makes my lungs cramp up.

Really? No flowers? That's odd, for usually the flower pollen don't cause any problems because they are quite "big" when compared to those carried by wind-pollination, as those are older when it comes to their history of development.

I ask because being allergic to minerals would mean being allergic to practically everything. If I were you, I'd ask what the doc meant by that... :(

Allergic to some kind of polyester (too lazy to find correct spelling). It was absolutely god-aweful back a few years ago when I went to a lot of formal dinners/whatever with my parents and had to wear so many of them suits...

That and the fact that my bedsheets were polyester, made me sore for a few months before I burned the damn thing in my bonfire pit/vegetable garden.

Me, I have no strange allergies, only to a drug called "Septra", which is an eye medication (I think). How I found this out, no clue.

Allergies that would suck in my mind would be:

Sunlight (Wearing a Rad. suit all day? :()
Milk/Milk Products
Polyester (Being a Nudist could work here, unless you like cotton)
Peanuts (I WANT MY PEANUT BUTTER)
Chocolate

..Just a few off the top of my head.

All I got is grass. I can't walk in grass barefoot or fall in the grass or else I start itching all over. I suppose I have a mild allergy to cats as well, but it only affects me from time to time...considering I live with two of them...

I could never be allergic to peanuts, and I am mildly afraid that may happen, just because I've seen people who become allergic to things later in life (my mom developed a deadly allergy to Tylenol, for one.) But if I become allergic to peanuts, I'm killing myself. No point in living like that.

haha lol I'm fatally allergic to peanuts...

I seriously almost died last October when I put a peanut-butter-filled pretzel bite in my mouth.

I HATE the smell of peanut butter, it makes me sick.

Really its not that bad though...as long as I can have my chocolate. :)
