You know, I'm not going to pass judgment on anyone for treating or not treating her child, but I agree on holding the doctor accountable. He, of all people, should know better.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Friday that it would not file criminal neglect charges against prominent HIV skeptic Christine Maggiore, whose daughter died last year of what the county coroner ruled was AIDS-related pneumonia.

But in a separate development, the Medical Board of California filed an accusation this week against one of the 3-year-old girl's doctors, citing gross negligence in his treatment of her.

Los Angeles police had been investigating whether Maggiore and her husband, Robin Scovill, were negligent in not testing or treating Eliza Jane Scovill for human immunodeficiency virus prior to her May 2005 death.

I've got no problem with passing judgement on the kid's parents. They're fucking morons who should be sterilized. If you're too dumb to treat your kid for a disease that, with the proper medicine, can be lived with for decades you shouldn't breed.

If the first impression I had is proven true, though, then perhaps Maggiore is unfit to be a parent.

Well, being stupid isn't the same as being negligent. I try not to rail against stupid people unless they interrupt the flow of my day. But the doctor was obviously negligent.

Stupid parents suck. Throw them in jail.
People should have to take a parenting test, if they fail, they arn't allowed to have kids. We would have to create something that applies to all people to prevent them from having children until passing the test.
