Pruno or Moonshine?

Pruno is a kind of "wine" made in prison, usually using ingredients like fruit punch, bread, and ketchup. Moonshine is homemade liquor sold in a mason jar. Sometimes made by using an old car radiator as part of the still. This results in lead and traces of radiator fluid entering the brew. Which do you prefer and why?

Don't get me started.
Well done moonshine, on the other hand, can be pretty smooth stuff.

I finally tasted some about a month and a half ago. It was pretty good. Smooth stuff considering it was probably as strong as 151 Rum.

Someone found out that the thing that makes a good bourbon good is vanillin, the chemical which is used as a vanilla substitute.
It's also a cheap additive for moonshine. A few drops, and even grain alcohol tastes like the finest bourbon.

Cool. So I can buy a little bottle of cheap vanilla extract and switch to cheap liquor?

Yes. If you like bourbon. You might have to tweak how much you put in, to your taste.

Yeah I do, but I don't buy any of the really fancy boubon. I stick to Jim Beam since the MDM boycott of Jack Daniels.

oh yeah, I had a friend once who made vanilla burbon with Mexican Vanilla, one shot of it just about knocked me down, it had a higher alcohol concentrate than everclear.

Never had either... but I vote moonshine because I don't think it would have nasty pruno flavor...

Everyone in North Georgia knows either how or who, when it comes to moonshine. A good glass of corn liquor is about as good as booze gets.
And it's the methanol that'll get you, not the lead.
