The only langauges are: English, English with a Russian Accent, English with a Spanish Accent, English with an "Asian" Accent, English with an "African" Accent, English with a French accent, English with an Arabic accent, English with a Scandinavian accent, English with a German accent, and English with an English Accent.

English and German fluently, Spanish and French have gotten somewhat patchy over the years, Catalá has basically disintegrated, and, umm, I know how to ask for my receipt and the way to the bear park in Swedish (and protest against heteronormativity) and then thank my conversation partner for their patience with me. That's about it.

I speak English fluently, French ex-fluently (which is to say that I once spoke it fluently, but have had no occasion to do so in years and years, so I'm sure I've forgotten a great deal of my vocabulary), basic tourist-German, a fair amount of church-Latin, just enough Romanian to sing the "Numa Numa" song, and a smattering of all the languages of Middle Earth, because I'm just that dorky. :)

I can speak and understand enough Spanish to teach ESL although I haven't in about 3 years.

I can understand enough French to follow a movie, but can't remember the grammar rules enough to say anything coherent.

Other than that I learned a bunch of Hebrew, Greek, and Latin, but haven't used them in so long that I might as well, not know them.

I speak German fluently, can have a reasonably complex conversation in Polish, and I have moderate knowledge of Chinese and can just barely form sentnces in Japanese. Finnish is the next language I would like to try studying again, since a while ago, I kind of cracked my teeth on that one.

I'm completely fluent in English. Sure it's my native language and all, but you have to take into account that a lot of people don't know how to spell very well, not to mention the fact that they make countless grammatical errors.

As for other languages, I can decipher some Spanish, though I can't speak it. I know a bit of Japanese, though I'd know a lot more if I didn't have this job of mine. I know 45 Kanji (along with all Hiragana and Katakana); I'd most likely know well over a hundred if I continued at my five-a-day study pace. Now, it's more like five-a-month. :p

Those are the same languages offered at my school. I chose Latin, and it's really helped me to increase my vocabulary and my understanding of how languages work. So maybe I'll try to learn another language some time.
