Official Manifesto of the OMG POGO STICK!!1 Party:

Theory of Government:

We of the OMG POGO STICK!!1 Party believe in a limited government, mainly concerned with the activities of Rhino Petting, Squirrel Fishing, and Right-Clicking. The amount of tax collected from each citizen will be directly proportional to the amount of lint on their hat. Which brings us to:

Constitutional Rules and Regulations:

1. All citizens, regardless of age, gender, color, or creed are required to wear a hat. No exceptions. All hats are regularly inspected for lint by government agents.

2. All members shall receive their choice of a free Panda, Penguin, or Duck-Billed Platypus.

3. Walking is banned. Any form of transportation must be by Pogo Stick only.

4. All citizens are required to consume at least one half pint of rainbow sherbet daily.

5. Whenever the Senate convenes, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir will perform beforehand.

Foreign Policy:

The OMG POGO STICK!!1 Party is in a state of perpetual war with all other nations. As such, we believe in maintaining a strong army of Rhinos and Squirrels to make preemptive strikes against all neighboring countries. All soldiers will be issued sweater vests made from industrial strength bubble-wrap for armor, and yarn garrotes for weapons. Once an enemy country has been subjugated, the above listed Constitutional Rules and Regulations will be enforced upon the natives.

We'll take it underconsideration. Put it to a vote among our members, and the Constitutional Rules and Regulations will be updated accordingly.

propose the Pogo Dance to be prescribed for any dance school as one of the basic dance styles. Hardcore dancing and mosh should be supported as optional additional dancing lessons.

Tell you what, I'll make a another thread soon with all your suggestions to amend the constitution. Meanwhile, post your thoughts here :)

Alright, we have the following suggestions for additions to the Constitutional Rules and Regulations:

-Pogo Dancing must be taught in all schools which receive public funding
-The Activities of Thumb Twiddling, Doodling, and Ultimate Frisbee will be also federally funded
-Mögiges Hypfvieh, whatever they are, will be permitted to be kept as pets

If any current members have objections to these changes, voice them now.

I invite you all, loyal members, to post your agreement or dissent in this thread. The title of the resulting party is tentatively, "The Choose Your Pogo Stick Wisely Party."

Sorry, I accidently voted - if I'm not eligible, disregard one "pro" vote.

As long as the Ministry of Defense will be held by a Pogo Stick partisan, I vote yes.

The pet rule is being modified to be more inclusive as we draft the new constitution. Stay tuned.

After careful consideration and discussion with Ruffy, we have decided to make the following compromise in response to feedback: the merged party will retain the Choose Wisely title (you already mode recruitment posters so it's kind of a shame to waste them anyway), and the constitutions shall be merged.

no. i don't wan't the coose wisely party's noble constitution to contain pogo-stick and hat related nonsense. the choose wisely part is prolly supposed to be about spamming, not stupidity.

It might be argued, were one inclined to do so, that progressing via Pogo-Stick is unto transportation what spam is unto rational debate.

Now that I'm back, my two cents: spamming by its very nature is random, weird, and generally silly. The CWP already has a number of rules that display this (e.g. the one about making Pi a state-sanctioned religion, or something like that). How I envision a merger is that the CWP would receive an injection of our silliness to complement their own.

I may not speak for all spammers, but I think that being serious is not one of our primary character traits. That being said, we are allowing this decision to be influenced by our members; if either side will lose a significant number of votes, we will probably not continue. I made this party to make people laugh, not make them pissed off.
