Where does the forum go?

So, the forum dissapears for about 20-30 minutes everyday around noon local time (3 AM GMT).*
The Mods don't know (by their own admission) and the techy types dodge the question (when I asked, I was told "you wouldn't understand).
I figure it must be slipping out and taking a break for some reason.
So, my question is where do you think the forum goes? Smoke break? A quickie with that cute little forum down the line? Power nap? A nefarious meeting with NSA spy types to report on all the double plus ungood thought criminals here?
*Don't believe me? Check today's time stamps - posts at regular intervals of around 1-4 minutes before and after, but nothing from 11:58 to 12:25.

I'm thinking that the Central Scrutinizer (also referred to as the Head Techno-Geek) for Jolt has his index fingers caught in a Chinese finger trap and has to wait until he can get his mommy to come help release him from his digital bondage.

If the forums were addicted to crack things would be much faster. I think the culprit drug is Heroin since things have been slow.
It goes and talks on Gabbly :p
Personally I've always thought it just sneaks off to get away from us for a bit. You know, it reads the postings and says, "Oh God, not ANOTHER post on religion!"
BTW, I will have revenge for getting that song from Grease stuck in my head thanks to your thread title.
The forum humps Ruffy during that time period.

The oddest thing was that I posted this just before I hit the shower to get ready for work. When I checked again on my way out, this thread had dissapeared completely... :eek:

Some such thing like that, yeah. They might have to take the database down to back it up or perhaps they reboot the servers daily to flush things out.

the jolt forums are not just the best forums in the universe, they are the best forums in ALL the universes.
each night during those lost 20-30 minutes, the jolt forum disappears from this space time continuum and re-form in one of the alternate universes that support political life.
due to the differences in space-time configuration in the various universi those 20-30 minutes reflect the entire timeframe in which fora exist in each universe.
Its spoon is too big...:)

I think that the forum is attending night school, because it wants to move up to become an MMOG one day... so it takes one short class every night.
I also think that perhaps a few of the "help me with my homework" threads were generated by the forum itself...

Funny how everyone expects all servers to be up all the time.
Sure, if you have a TON of money, you can do it. Tell you what, why don't we all pitch in 1000 dollars each per month. That should help matters.
