The new political strategy in California is to link political opponents to Bush (http://youtube.com/watch?v=EKSFTqz7wDU). All politicians who supported Bush at one time are now getting hammered.

I can't watch the video, so are the politicians getting really drunk or attacked?

Attacked, and it's just an anti-Arnold campaign ad.

That's a pretty good commercial. Clear choices, no ambiguity.

Were getting those to.
"So and so was seen in the same city as George Bush in 1987, would you trust HIM to run your state?"
Its kinda sad really, since so and so runs an essentially identical ad.

there's a world of difference between "he was in the same state OMG!" and watching the governator chant the dubster's name in front of a cheering crowd.

The same sort of thing is happening in Michigan too. The biggest issue in Michigan right now is our crap economy, so they tie DeVos (the Repub candidate) to "Bush economics". The other strategy here is to say that the other candidate is putting other places ahead of Michigan, such as DeVos' investment in China as owner of Amway.

The "Bush Economics" one (http://youtube.com/watch?v=YdzKWcUq5RY&mode=user&search=)

Another one that says that Bush and DeVos are hurting Michigan (http://youtube.com/watch?v=YdzKWcUq5RY&mode=user&search=)

This one on the other hand, says, "It's not about Republicans and Democrats", which I don't think is really the best way to approach that this season. I think that voter disgust with Republicans is rather high, so I would think that emphasizing that would be a good idea (she's a Democrat) link (http://youtube.com/watch?v=EGOq1UHRPtA)

It has got to be better than Alabama where the only defense the incumbant governor has is to call the Democratic candidate a liberal.

Especially when the Democratic candidate in Alabama has to be to the right of just about every other Dem in the country even to have a shot.

I think Angelides pretty much balked at the idea of finding anything positive to say about himself so decided to run Schwartzenegger = Bush ads. To be fair though it wasnt even two days before every Schwartzenegger campaign ad swapped Arnold has the plan to fix California ads to ads featuring the frightening spectre of Angelides' less than stellar taxation record. I can hardly wait for the final few days of the campaign when the real brutal mudslinging begins in earnest. That is when it is too late for a candidate to really defend against anything the other campaigm fabricates about him/her and it gets very personal.

He's not to the right of the dem we're stuck with I'm willing to bet. Not that I'm happy about that mind you {mumble[damnnelsonbendingoverforbush]mumble}
