I watched Brewsters Milions the other night and considered a None of the Above Party but then I wondered into Ruffy's party threat and their promtion of high jinks had me hooked and I had to join on the spot.

Please don't use this concept as an excuse to start spammy threads at will. Please keep it reasonable and within the normal rules of the forums. Apart from that, have at it. ~~ Fris

In view of all the party threads springing up, for parties which then sink back into oblivion as quickly as they had appeared,

Bearing in mind the original guidelines I had set out, and also the mods' request that such threads should not be created in excess,

I'm hereby re-asserting the rule that, if you want to create a party, post your idea here, and then wait for people to express an interest and say they'll join you before you start a thread.

In other words, don't start a party thread until you've got at least one member beside yourself for it.

some things that might apply before you start starting up parties for fun (or spite) all over the place.
i really, still, don't see why you feel the need to do this. i never liked the Paradise Beach etc stuff, but did i ever go trying to bring its downfall or bitch about it? no. (this refers also to your behaviour in the last election)

The 10k+ Party, just to be exclusive-ish. But then we'd lose..

apart from this thread (and any subsequent spinoff parties) counting as spam, i should think she (and me) is hoping that we won't get a repeat of last time. nor will we be overrun with joke parties made to undermine the process in an underhand, yet still just as spiteful, manner.

The Adventuring Party.

The leader will be designated Dungeon Master with strict dictatorial powers and his cabinet will be 'adventurers'. Everyone else can be peasants or goblins, with the adventurers busting in to their homes to take piles of cash and the occasional magical item.

I was mislead because I had been led to understood my party was acceptable and wasn't informed that it had been disallowed until the election had begun.

And there are several joke parties. Why single me out?
because you are in this thread advertising to start up numerous new joke parties when there are already more than enough. one would be ok but asking for suggestions for joke parties is something quite different and tantamount only to big-time spam.

i do apologise, that was not my intention. however your behaviour last time round i personally also found insulting to those of us (and there are many) who have put in a lot of effort for this election. i guess i may have come accross a bit strong due to that, and for that i apologise.

I'm sure you can understand why people who've worked hard at serious parties - to the extent of creating NSWikis for example - may get annoyed at people creating joke parties which take away votes and make all the work useless. A few are fine, but it would be appreciated if they weren't in an excess amount is all - I think there will be more than one round of voting though, so a top 10 is produced, which could help the issue *nods*
Noone wants to restrict peoples' involvement... it's just that in some ways it makes more sense for someone who isn't bothered, and is just doing it for a laugh, to hold off on a spur-of-the-moment-and-quickly-forgotton joke party so that others can get more out of it. Though having to ask that of people isn't great.... Hopefully it'll all work out with everyone being happy.

I apologise again for reacting so harshly. Talking contructively is far better for everyone :)
