I was unfortunate to come across an interwiew with this sub human.

While he comes across as an apologist it is certainly not shame that brings this sick person into the limelight.
My question is that is it going to be necessary to engage these people in order to understand the pathology that drives them in order to protect their potential victims?

What I want to know is what the hell he's doing out of prison after 5 years...I am thinking the minimum sentence needs to be, say, 30 years in max security and a chip implanted in him to monitor him thereafter. People like that don't deserve freedom and don't deserve to speak out like this.

of course it is though I disagree that we should go about listing paedophiles

It is good though that he is encouraging paedophiles to come out and get help though could I of been right all along……could rehabilitation work!

Meh ... if you want to find out how they operate, think, observe, and act then it is essential to listen to them. Putting them all in a basement and throwing away the key won't help to solve the problem.

In the end it has to, the only other option being to cut out the waste so to speak. If we care about others of our specices, then learning what causes the problems we have, has got to be better than the knee jerk, just cut all the bad stuff out and throw it away. Of course if we don't care about others of our species then that is socialpathic behaviour, and we should either learn about it to fix it, or just chuck it out, hehehe.

That was back in 1986. These things weren't as public back then.

I suppose that we may have to face unpalatable issues in order to understand how to spot them in the future. But the thought of having a rational conversation with a person like this seems impossible as the revulsion at least for me would be insurmountable.

Aye, well, they have nice scientifically objective medical personnel out there who I'm sure could do a better job than you or I. I'll leave it to them. :)

Ah. Not that he isn't subhuman scum, but he was subhuman scum before it was easy to be branded as such for life. **sticks out two thumbs up and gives goofy smile** Thanks, Internet!

Well, they were. Crying child molester in the 80's was like crying "witch" in the middle ages, or colonial Salem. Or crying "communist" in the 50's. It was just that the sentences hadn't caught up to the outcry yet. So instead of sentencing one guilty child molester to prison for 20 years they'd sent one child molester and 4 innocent people to prison for 5 years each. It's the same logic used to justify abolishing the minimum wage.

Ummm...that generates a giant-sized "Huh?" from my non-logical-conclusion-drawing brain.

He's suggesting that punishments in those sorts of cases in the 80s were irrational.

Rather then come down hard on the one responsible they smacked anyone connected to it... I think... judging by his post....
