The Not Particularly Vicious Black Friday Afternoon Non-Marxist Revolutionary Party for the Reunification of Gondwanaland
The Not Particularly Vicious Black Friday Afternoon Non-Marxist Revolutionary Party for the Reunification of Gondwanaland seeks members so that it can participate in the forthcoming NationStates general election (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=499225).
The platform of the NPVBFANMRPFTROG ['the Party'] is as follows:
1) The level of violence, pollution, and chaos in the world has undeniably grown exponentially since Gondwanaland split into its constituent parts. Therefore it would be desirable to reunite Gondwanaland in order to reverse this trend. While human evolution itself is, alas, unlikely to be reversed, the Party stands committed to reunify Gondwanaland as soon as possible through, in so much as is possible, entirely peaceful means.
2) Upon achieving the re-unification of Gondwanaland, the Party will centralise all power in the hands of the Party Central Committee. All elections will be abolished. The Party retains sole right to make any laws it sees fit, except as qualified by other clauses of this manifesto. Dissent will be punished through exile to Laurasia.
3) Prior to the reunification of Gondwanaland, the Party will accept the principle of representative democracy, but reserves the right not to recognise the results of elections it loses.
4) After centralising all power in the hands of the Party Central Committee, the Party promises to uphold the rights of a capitalist economy, through the maintanance of private property rights, the encouragement of private ownership of the means of production, and the free operation of stockholder-based corporations.
5) Except that the Party reserves the right to randomly confiscate property, abolish individual corporations, and nationalise industry if a majority of the Central Committee are having a bad day.
6) Membership of the Party will be compulsary. All members of the Party shall be eligible for membership of the Central Committee, which shall have 11 members, and membership shall be in non-consecutive five year terms; except that the Party Founder has life membership. Nominations to the Central Committee shall be decided by existing committee members. Only those party members with a university education and who promise to uphold the ten points of party membership in this manifesto shall be eligible to vote.
7) The death penalty is irreversibly abolished
8) Except under similar exceptions to the property law exceptions described in clause 5.
9) The Party shall in no way show favouritism towards any race, religion, gender, sexual preference or ethnicity - though nepotism's perfectly fine in small doses.
10) All Party members agree to denounce the 'The Not Particularly Vicious Black Friday Afternoon Non-Marxist Revolutionary Party for the Reunification of Gondwanaland - Pangaea Tendency' as a dangerous splittist faction.
