Hi all!
Since people don't often change their political views, many discussions here tend to boil down to fights of the ever-same people. Which often results in namecalling... (until the mods show up, that is). This is your chance to attack your favourite opponents, as long as you follow these rules:
- 8 lines (and lines are a couple of words short...)
- the lines must rhyme
- attack the political views of other people, not the people themselves (but do use their names so they're compelled to answer)
- don't get angry - sometimes a line may seem a bit harsh, but has only been written that way for the sake of a nice rhyme
- still keep it civilised (big mod is watching you)
- you may attack the rhyming skills of your opponent, but of course, do so in rhyme as well, so you had better be more skilful
- witty > aggressive
This is meant to be a fun thread, so don't begin to discuss the political views unless it fits the 8-liner scheme. If you absolutely have to answer without rhyming, create your own thread.
What else is there to say? Ah, yes. Our pronunciation may differ, so it is easier to spot rhymes if you make the rhyming syllables bold. There are some reasons for the 8 lines rule, such as: "its an even number, which is good for rhyming", "you could have 2 4-line stanzas of 2 rhymes each", "Lerkistan likes exponents of 2" and "just 'cause!". And coincidentally, if you think you've just been attacked in a really witty way, 8 lines fit nicely into your signature :) I'm aware this takes more time than a haiku, for example, but then again, it never hurts to think a while about what you're going to write, right?
Now it's time to let your views shine
put them words in verse and rhyme
You prefer freedoms or your security?
Show your attitude and how pure it is!
You're neocon or liberal , pro-life or pro-choice?
Marriage according to me may be between boys!
Now get in motion, set this thread ablaze
Ny Nordland, I hate your notion of more than one human race!
