Political views: the clash of eightliners

Hi all!

Since people don't often change their political views, many discussions here tend to boil down to fights of the ever-same people. Which often results in namecalling... (until the mods show up, that is). This is your chance to attack your favourite opponents, as long as you follow these rules:

- 8 lines (and lines are a couple of words short...)
- the lines must rhyme
- attack the political views of other people, not the people themselves (but do use their names so they're compelled to answer)
- don't get angry - sometimes a line may seem a bit harsh, but has only been written that way for the sake of a nice rhyme
- still keep it civilised (big mod is watching you)
- you may attack the rhyming skills of your opponent, but of course, do so in rhyme as well, so you had better be more skilful
- witty > aggressive

This is meant to be a fun thread, so don't begin to discuss the political views unless it fits the 8-liner scheme. If you absolutely have to answer without rhyming, create your own thread.

What else is there to say? Ah, yes. Our pronunciation may differ, so it is easier to spot rhymes if you make the rhyming syllables bold. There are some reasons for the 8 lines rule, such as: "its an even number, which is good for rhyming", "you could have 2 4-line stanzas of 2 rhymes each", "Lerkistan likes exponents of 2" and "just 'cause!". And coincidentally, if you think you've just been attacked in a really witty way, 8 lines fit nicely into your signature :) I'm aware this takes more time than a haiku, for example, but then again, it never hurts to think a while about what you're going to write, right?

Now it's time to let your views shine
put them words in verse and rhyme
You prefer freedoms or your security?
Show your attitude and how pure it is!

You're neocon or liberal , pro-life or pro-choice?
Marriage according to me may be between boys!
Now get in motion, set this thread ablaze
Ny Nordland, I hate your notion of more than one human race!

Anyone? 8 lines, that's 4 lousy rhymes...

Meh. And people wonder why I dislike social interactions.

I made a double acrostic. First and last letters of each line.

People say I'm a dreamer
Overly worried, but having hope
Liberal minded and a bit of a fool
I think things could be better, especially for an Iraqi
Too many people are fighting
It's a discrace, we might die by the splitting of atomic nuclei
Could God save us? I would say no
Seems he is apathetic, or made up by man

I kind of broke your rules by not rhyming, but I thought a double acrostic sounded fun. I made sure I had eight lines though.

A silly man
might bomb Iran,
and his VP
is in love with BP.
And I'm very sure
their motives aren't pure,
due to their absence of heart...

At least they aren't very smart.

There, within the rules this time.

I don't have the time to do eightlines, so I'll make a lovely haiku instead.

Stupid socialism
It just cannot calculate
I love von Mises

This one is a purposefully easy riddle.

People think I'm full of poo
for doing the things I do
I cast the first stone
and always preach and moan
about how I'm better than
gays, 'cause I don't love a man
I think they should die.
Who am I?

Rhyming Acrostic, made to sound like it was written just after the 2004 elections.

Enemies derided
Leader prided
Every vote was a mandate
People gave from a red state
Heres to more war
And we'll ignore the poor
Nevermind the Constitution
The grand old party has the solution!

Cows and kangaroos,
Robins and kinkajous,
Every animal on earth,
Any, from London to Perth,
The big and the small,
Is the result evolution, all.
Over millions of years, it took,
Not from one day, like it says in that book.

Rhyming single acrostic... someone else post :D

Are we supposed to attack people on NS, or in RL?

Nobody seems interested, so do either. I didn't attack people here because I didn't feel the need to call anyone out, and this thread isn't popular.

Accepted :) I guess bending the rules a bit is ok as long as you show some poetic skills. And thank you for your posts!

The original intent was to attack people on NS so they would respond, but you can attack RL people if you prefer.

Classical Italian Stanza, just for the fun of it.

The label does not matter. Socialism
still has some gang of buddies ruling all.
Whereas in liberal free capitalism
there is some gang of buddies fooling all.
No different from the days of feudalism,
with some old gang of buddies pooling all.
The label does not matter to the game:
The costumes change. The drama stays the same.
