This is about the 140th time ive done this, and i'm simply curious too see if this has happened too anyone else, or if its just some strange twist of fate, or simply the will of god, that I lose, about 1/4 of my posts.

Your finished with your 8 paragraph post, for a new international alliance (just an example). Everything is bolded, sizes are right, and surprisngly enough, its actually good.

Now before you can scroll down and hit "submit" either your finger brushes against the backspace button, or in my case, you hit the button on your mouse too go back, neatly getting a "page cannot be displayed". Upon trying too go forward again, you get the same message, notifying you, the computer wishes too a**f*** your aspirations for being respected in the NS community.

Anybody?

Yes i have done that many times, it is rather annoying after completing a long text and then you do that or NS has logged you out and it occasionally wipes all your effort( Someties it doesn't).

See, a page back button on the mouse never seemed like a good idea to me.

tip: when writing a long post, constantly copy and paste what you write into notepad. Or better still just write it in notepad first and then just paste it into the browser window.

If you just don't do it, the problem will go away.

Yeah that may seem easy, but it requires effort, and it can be a real dragon the internet, it kills my computer doing that.

I use the Opera browser, and it saves the text if I accidentally hit a link in the middle of something. You should give it a try if that bothers you that much.

A hint: hit ctrl-a, then ctrl-c before you hit submit. duh.

Notepad.

Those of us who remember NS running on phpBB off a server with 1GB RAM, with 2-3x the forum activity, have its utility etched on our minds forever.
