My desk is my lap. But it's generally surrounded by redwood trees and a slope covered in wild vegitation. In the morning deer pass me and at night racoons circle me. Racoons are bastards. I post outside, obviously.

My desk is a snapshot of my life. :p

It's messy and is taken over by my compter. Theres a bottle of water, a Spanish dictionary, several books of classical plays by Seneca, Plautus and Terence, sunflower seeds, black nail polish, a button, a guitar pick, a knife (), a lamp and several other, clutter creating, things.

I'm not at my desk, but it's decorated with various items like a Scrat plushie, a lightsaber and a Buddy Christ bobblehead. I used to have a Black Beast of Aaargh! plushie, but it experience a mishap. I replaced it with Scrat.

There are stacks of DVDs all over it. *nod*

The thing is, if I clean up my room, it's swamped with books and CDs and stuff in about 6 hours again anyway, because I have nowhere to put them (the books, I mean. The CDs are just laziness) when i'm actually using them so they go on the floor. *sigh*

I am not home to take a picture of my desk, but I can tell you it's full of papers, postcards, misc. crap, and homeschool work that needs to be graded.

I am currently typing on a laptop on an antique desk that has a vase of flowers on it.

I am waiting for breakfast in bed.

Ham and cheese omelete, bacon, sausage, and a gluten free scone.
Not bad

My desk has my junked-up old laptop, junked-up old printer, junked-up old lamp (noticing a theme yet? I have a tendency to get overly fond of my machines and end up stuck 5 to 8 years, 30-40 in the case of the lamp, behind the curve). It also has my huge maglite, TV Remote, duct tape, napkins, paper towels, alarm clock, desk fan, rubber bands, empty Listerine Pocket-Pack containers, a nice CD collection, and an essay writing handbook.
There's also this stack of Chinese Eaty-out menues here, with notes on them ranging from "Never, never again order the duck" to "Doubleplusgood food, but no English speakers."
The drawers, and there are many, are all taped shut with the duct tape because the damn things won't stay closed.

I have no digital camera, though, so you all will have to imagine the glories of my messy desk.

Anime CD's, PC game CD's, a fax/telephone, wireless mouse, calculator, headset, National Geographic mags, a collection of Friedrich Nietzsche's works, printer paper, a phonebook, lots of cables, some red bean cake wrappers.

And finally, a huge plush collection of FF VII characters :D

My desk actually looks pretty clean at the moment.

That's because I'm not using it. :p
I'm posting sitting on the couch, laptop on my knees. What usually would get cluttered up all around me on the desk is now cluttered up all around me on the couch. And on the stereo. And on the box with the CDs in it. And, and mainly, on the floor.

It's a wonder I can still plough a way through the clutter and leave the room. I might have to step over (or on) some things, but I can still totally leave the room. *nod*

I feel your pain. However, since I spent 4 years in the Army Uncle Sam is my sugar daddy and pays me $1184 monthly. That pays for my bills, plus about $300. I'm thinking about slowly building up a Kroot Merc army, but I still about about 2000 (out of 3500) points of IG to paint up. Not to mention my 1000 of Black Templars I need to paint up. Not only that, but I need to save up because I'm going to France for my spring semester. However, with new models like the Vostroyans and the Harlequin Death Jester I find that increasingly hard. I'm also terribly tempted by the new Dwarfs, although I used to have about 3k of Hordes of Chaos (a real horde, with 3 25 man squads of Marauders).

<drools> Ever since the Tau Codex came out, I’ve always wanted a complete Kroot army; more so now ForgeWorld have released some sweet, sweet models. Winged Kroot, oooooooooh yes.

I’m also terribly tempted by the new Dwarfs, although I used to have about 3k of Hordes of Chaos (a real horde, with 3 25 man squads of Marauders).
Ouch! Wouldn’t like to get in the way of them. Personally, I’m a Dwarf player through and through. Have been ever since WFB 4th Ed. And the new models make me wobbly at the knees.

Man, that is exactly the reason why I wish I could freeze time (well, outside me and my painting refuge) to get the job done maybe one day...
I don't know what it is pointwise, but there's two great companies (at least!) of Space Marines (Space Wolves) and an IG regiment (Catachan/Necromunda Orlocks) plus so much more just sitting at home. Home home, that is, for I don't have the space here...

First of all, yes, no axes here :D (Why not, I wonder?!?)

Then I have to ask you about the cup holder on the 2nd pic (which looks like the lower part of a stickable joystick): Where do I get my hands on one of those?
I've killed my keyboard spilling drinks before, even managed to accomplish that on the first day with a new keyboard...

And I do need a new, good, maybe high-back command chair. The "new" one gave up (sucky quality) and the old one (which I'm on right now) is really worn out.

The cooler sounds interesting, though. Cool fresh beer (or other drink) without having to get up ot head to the fridge (which is not really far, to be honest).
