Well, nobody ever said (including Freud) that reproduction was in the front of everybody's minds...except maybe Friday night at the bar. ;) The whole point was that the reproductive drive was unconsciously at the helm. Most of the stuff we do doesn't have much to do with sex, but if you dig under layers and layers of semiconscious thought and mental maps, you'd probably find some pretty basic shit under there.
