well reading up on this documentary/movie "this film is not yet rated" exposing the problem with MPAA, i've become aware of the problem with movies and art in general. It seems somewhat hypocritical, so something becomes criticized when it shows sex, but when violence is shown it's not. I mean do you agree that sex should be refrained in general art mediums, or violence should be?

Speaking as an artist, I think that nothing should be off-limits when it comes to expression. Art doesn't have to shock to be effective, but it certainly ought to be free to do so if the artist chooses that approach.

And the MPAA is very hypocritical when it comes to their double standard for violence and sex in film. They're even more hypocritical when it comes to their standards on strong language, but that's another story altogether.
