No not a sequel although that would be cool

A giant python has eaten one of the biggest meals ever - a fully grown pregnant ewe.

The six metre long, 90kg snake was left so full after the meal, it couldn't move and was stuck in the middle of a road before being rescued by firefighters in Kampung Jabor, Malaysia.

A shocked farmer called in the emergency services after finding the python motionless and still trying to digest its prey. The huge snake put up little resistance as it was loaded on to a truck to be taken to safety.

Pythons kill their prey by squeezing them to death and swallowing whole. Large pythons would usually eat something no bigger than a house cat but larger food items are not unknown including deer and even alligators.

Although a large python would have the strength to kill a human, they are not seen as a threat because humans are outside the size of their normal prey.

However there have been cases of humans being eaten by pythons. In 1972 a python in Burma swallowed an eight-year-old boy.

Okay, people can stop with the Snakes on a Plane references now. Please.

That's pretty amazing. I wonder how long the python can go without eating anything else after that meal?

No. Not until it grosses more than $100million. I think Apes on a train would be a good sequel.

How enlightened to carry the snake to safety rather than just killing it and tossing its carcass off on the side of the road.

Malaysia is having some real success at instilling environmental awareness in it's people. They're getting the populace to se the natural world as a resource to be exploited through tourism and science, rather than an obstacle to be done away with.

Seems to be working.

That's a look of suprise....suprise that a snake found the spot while her husband couldn't.

I don't know about pythons, although I'm sure it applies, but my nestling king snake is supposed to be able to 4-5 months without eating with no lasting ill-effects. I wouldn't want to test that, though.
Not bad

I saw a video of a snake regurgitating a baby hippo. It was quite disturbing.
