Grrr. I got a 51 on a geometry test. And progress reports come out tomorrow! Gaaahhh.... And I totally screwed up in marching band so I don't think I'm getting a very good grade. The only two classes that I'm sur I'm getting a good grade in are Honors Earth Science and PE. And guess what? Progress reports come out... TOMORROW! I hate to use these smileys, but :upyours: :upyours: :upyours: !!!!!!!!! It's all part of "Freshman Academy", where progress reports come out on the SEVENTH FREAKING DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!
And bad grades aside, I can't take driver's ed next week, because of band. I can't do it next month either, so I have to do it in January, WHEN I TURN FIFTEEN. (You can take it at 14 in NC). I'm going to be one of the oldest in the class. And knowing my luck, it's going to be on my birthday too, in the first week we get back from winter break! GAAH!!!!

Don't worry about driving. I couldn't go to drivers ed until I was 16, due to me having a broken arm that took 9 months to heal. Hell, I didn't get my restricted license until my senior year.

Lolz @ the Frosh.
I should probably say something supportive like, "Cheer up, we've all been there", but I was actually that annoying kid who sat in the back of the class, slept through the lectures, and then aced the tests (completely fucking up everyone else's curve) and papers.
And anyone who reads to much into a 7th-day report is crazy.

I just realized I inherently dislike 14 year-olds more than any other teenager, and I dont even know why.
Anyway, hang in there. keep writing (your stories I mean), it usually helped me to outlet when I was in high school. Are you in a highschool? Is freshman academy only for ninth-graders?

Calm down buddy. As a veteran of NC state schools, I understand how much they strive to implement every single stupid idea that enters their vapid minds, from bloc scheduling, to freshman academy, to having one teacher teach several classes/grades in the same room at the same time. If this is really just your Freshman year, worry not. You have time to figure out geometry, Freshman academy or no Freshman academy.
And here's a handy hint - you don't have to take driver's ed at school. In fact, you can take a weeklong crash course over the summer, which does the same job as the classroom part, though you'd still have to take the driving segment(a mere 3 days of that) through the school. Not a free option, but an option.

No just 14 year olds :P

Is driver's ed not just driving lessons you take with an instructor before doing your test ?

Yeah, I'm in a high school, and yes it's for freshmen only.
An I can't find a lot of time to write anymore :(.
And I have like 8 stories to work on.

Whats the point of a freshman academy? Freshman year is traditionally used to get used to the new age and cirricular diversity of highschool. If you go to this "academy" doesnt it just mean when you move on to highschool you have to get used to a new environment all over again? After spending one year only to settle into a new one from Junior High?

Hell, I didn't get my learners permit until I turned 15 and a half man. And I'm twenty and I've got a real license, yet the bugger still looks like a learners permit. And it stays like that until you're over 21 in Ohio. Blast.
