Can someone confirm a "legal" thing for me?

I just bought tickets to a show (Grand Final Footy Show) for me and a couple of mates. Now, apparently, when you go to their regular shows, you have to be over 18. However, this GF show is in a stadium, and there was no mention on TV or on the ticket website about have to be 18+. I'm 17. Should I be worried?

The way I figure, if anything goes wrong it's entirely their fault, and they either have to let me in or refund my money.

Look on the ticket. There are usually some fine print restrictions on it--it may tell you if this is an all-ages show or a restricted one.

If there is no mention that is 18+ then you should go and not worry

Haven't got them yet; you can only get them by phone or internet. I ordered over the internet, and there was no mention of an age restriction.

Or call them and ask. And don't expect your money back if they don't let you in, you have a bit of responsibility to find out the conditions under which you can attend the event, too.

Not my fault if they don't mention it when you buy them online. All the details should be there. The only thing it said on the site was that it's limit 10 per person, and we have to be there before 8:30.

Unless it says on their website over 18's only. If this rule wasn't in existence when you bought the ticket you probably won';t be allowed go but should get a full refund. Not the same but at least you won't be out of pocket.

That's NFL Footy Show; I'm in Melbourne. And there's no FAQ for the AFL.

Nah, it's their job to tell you if you need to be 18 or over. When I was 16 me adn a bunch of my mates got tickets to go see this band and when we got to the venue they told us we had to be 18 or over, but since we had tickets they let us in but stamped our hands so we couldn't go near the bar, since the ticket vender should not have sold us the tickets in the first place. So it should all be fine.

That's what I've been saying.

I'd assume the same rules apply though.

stadiums are god. whatever they say goes and there is nothing you can do about it.

if they want to deny you admission for being 17 and also refuse you a refund, they can and wil do so.

even if you ARE over 18, you are utterly at their mercy for admission. they can refuse anyone admission for any reason.

your best bet is to call them up to see if being 18 is in effect and ask around to people who have been in this stadium before if they are strict in enforcing their own rules. you will probably have no problem but no sense not finding out.
