Futurama or Family Guy?

Which one do you like better?

I much prefer Futurama. Funnier, better subject matter. Even now it's still fresh.

It also has the emotional edge (Jurassic Bark, Luck of the Fryrish).

Futurama has much better characters, and is more satirical and interesting to watch.

Family Guy has funnier jokes, it's a tough one, but I will have to go with Futurama.

Futurama is probably a 'better' show, but i laugh more at Family Guy, so FG wins :)

Family Guy, at least the first three seasons before the show was cancelled and resurrected. I never cared much for Futurama.

Family Guy for me.
You could just make a poll. :)

Family Guy. The jokes are way, way, way more funny.

Too bad they don't show it here :(

Also, they both have an equal record; both cancelled, both resurrected.

I would say Futurama. I think it's a more complete show & series, but Family Guy has some wickedly biting jokes in it.

I like American Dad too.

Gotta be family guy hands down. The production aspect is not as smooth but it has funnier jokes as someone said and also has a depth of cultural awareness that futurama cant possibly match. Sorry Matt Groening fans but futurama is a result of what happens when he is allowed to put his quirky ideas down without the glue that is the brilliant writing of Conan O'Brien etc.. Groening is a cartoonist but those guys have the brains and wit. Comparing futurama and family guy is like comparing the 1st season of the simpsons with the 7th.

Thats my two cents

go for it guys :P hehe

They don't show either of them in Poland so I am unable to answer.

I'm a big fan of US/UK animated comedies - for a while we had doubled bills of Family Guy and American Dad every night over here, it was great!

That said, Futurama wins, for me - Family Guy is a kind of a dated, derivited format, not big on originality. Both are funny and get watch on my screen, though :) Nice to see the voting so close at this stage, reflects my thoughts exactly.

Can't say and almost impossible to compare.
They're both excellent in their own way.
Family guy is more extreme, tasteless and over-the-top humour.
Futurama is more subtle* and well-thought out in it's humour. It has a plot that develops with the episode, unlike Family guy which has a basic plot but wanders all over the place.
I like Family guy's bizarre little flashbacks (invariably introduced as "Oh man, this is worse than that time I..."), but sometimes they're forced and it's obvious it's being used as a filler. Especially in the latter couple of seasons.
Though Futurama had a couple of lame episodes in the last season as well (esp the one that centered on Hermes and the Professors sons), so I guess they're even in that regard.

*Before anyone says "Futurama..subtle? ROLF!", watch and see how many masturbation jokes are there. There's almost one per episode. I'm amazed they've been able to slip them in so often.

Family Guy, easily. I enjoy Futurama but the fourth season felt like it was losing the humour. I can't get enough of Family Guy :D

I like the Family Guy. I only see it from time to time, but prefer it over Futurama.

I still insist that any show that rhymes "So just sit back and enjoy the ride" with "My ass has blisters from the slide" is freaking winnar.
