My name sucks, it's a little better now because I got married and changed my last initial, but really my first name got me so much crap in school that I went by my middle name from K-5th then picked up Smunkee to keep people from knowing my secret. Now that I am a grown up, my first name is bad because it doesn't sound grown up, and like I said my initials are better, but really I can only have so many monogramed things as a grown up, not like when I was a kid and my monogram sucked a big one.

Oh, so since I don't know your last name I can't help much.

Randomness

Female- Elizabeth (can be shortened to Liz, Lizzy, Beth, Libby, Ellie, etc. gives the kids some flexibility and Elizabeth is professional sounding the kid could be a lawyer or whatever with that name, and E is pretty in monogram script)

Male- Robbert (can be shortened to Robby, Rob, Bob, Bobby, Bert, etc. sounds grown up, R's are pretty)

If its a girl, you should name her Ginger, and then you can steadily drive her into an angst-filled, maniacal rage by offering her ginger bread and ginger snaps at every opportunity.
As far as a boy, I guess you could just name him Cumin or Butters, or something.
Or you could just skip the name and give your child two initials which have no signifigance, like, oh I don't know, "H N."

Anastasia, James and Victoria are all awesome names. Like I said before, Elizabeth is too common, and for some reason i just dont like Edward

Well, thats my opinion.

As for my own suggestions: Theresa is a good name for a girl, can be shortened to Terry or Reese. Joan is a great name, too. Also, Grace.

For boys, Michael is a good name, but far too common for my liking. I think it works better as a middle name.

Luther, Moloch and Lucifer for a boy. Scarlet for a girl.

I hope you have a girl based on those names lol

I suggest Pauline. We're dying out! I've never met another Pauline under the age of 60!

I' M ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!

So if it's a girl, Pauline...and if it's a boy....Pauline!

Sorted!

Don't mention it ;)

Yes, I know. I figured it would be best if I let you mention that yourself. After all, I know how fond I am of relating that my first name, if traced back far enough, means "wolf with shield."
There are worse names than yours. I may just call you Wolf Shield from now on tho. :fluffle:
If its a girl, you should name her Ginger, and then you can steadily drive her into an angst-filled, maniacal rage by offering her ginger bread and ginger snaps at every opportunity.
As far as a boy, I guess you could just name him Cumin or Butters, or something.
Or you could just skip the name and give your child two initials which have no signifigance, like, oh I don't know, "H N."
LMAO Thats fucking awesome, man. AWESOME
Rose. Hmm...I like it, but there's the issue of other children's cruelty....but then that's likely to be there anyway....

Henry Nicholas? And Ginger is a good name. Just try not to imply with ginger bread and ginger snaps that she's tasty. Might be trouble in the teen years.;):p

Why would a Rose get teased any more than most names? I really like Rose, and Violet, and Lilly.....
I'd eat that treat if I HAD A MOUTH.

For a boy: Patric
For a girl: Trish
Poor Ruffy. :fl*ffle:
Patrick I like. I know a Trish and she fails at life, so im not a huge fan of that one.
No, the letters don't mean anything, they're just letters. First Name: "H", Middle Name "N".
The confusion and irritation that this name would cause would be my legacy to the world.

Ah, yes, that awkward "Cannibal" phase where about half the class dissapears overnight and are never heard of again.
Or maybe that was just at my Middle School.
roflmao. You are on a roll today, friend.
Alex, Logan, or Brian for a boy. And Jennifer, jessica, or Brittany for a girl. But thats just me.
Alex and Logan are nice. Not a huge fan of Brian. Jennifer Jessica and Brittany are all fine names except they are too popular and call to mind images of blonde bimbos. (for me, at least)
that's really up to you and your wife...

is there another choice besides Male or Female?
lol
For a boy I would reccomend Aiden, Adam, Seth, Evan. For a girl I'd like Ella or Emily or a flower name like Rose, Violet, or Lily. :)
VERY nice choices. I am impressed! I really like Emma or Emily.
Congrats! Robin works good in both cases.
Yes, it does, but I think its better as a girl's name.

I know an awesome woman names pauline and she's not THAT old, tho she is an adult.... (in her late 40s i think). I know a little girl names Paula, too, does that count? I like the name Pauline. Gwendolyn is awesome. Sabrina used to be great, before the TV show about a teenaged witch. Monica/Monika is a great name. Brigid is a fucking awesome name, if you are Catholic (St Brigid turned a lake into beer......best. miracle. ever.) Veronica is a very pretty name. Nakia is a nice name, too. Christine is nice as a middle name, a bit too common for a first name tho. Michelle is good.

Man, i'm so much better with girl's names. I hope my future husband has some good ideas for boys names!

Funny story: I have a friend who has already picked out her kid's names. Including possible names if the kid is born out of wedlock. For that situation, she like Sarabi Renee (i'm not sure if i spelled it correctly, but its the name of Simba's mother in The Lion King) Other names she likes include Nicodemus (again i cant spell) and Dimitri. I tried to tell her such names arent so great if you arent Russian. She ignores me :p

Well is your child going to be living in England or Thailand? Because in English name in Thailand might sound strange, and vice versa. If he's going to be living in an English country, I would advise an English fiirst name with a Thai middle name and vice versa again. I don't know if the Thai names are genuine, but I think they are.

Names:

Boy: (Thai: Sunan, Klahan, Mongkut) (English:Jerold,Lloyd, William)
Girl: (Thai: Lawan, Kanya,Kulap) (English: Kim, Elizabeth, Rachel)

Just some suggestions.

I once read that before you name your kid, you should close your eyes and think of what sort of person you theink this name implys.

Eg: Andrew sounds slightly incompetent, but intelligent. Alessandra sounds pretty, and a little vain.

Of course these are just my opinion. I advice looking for any possible thing that rymes with the name, if the initials spell out something, or if the name sounds funny. Pick a name that has little or no way to make fun of. (of course no matter how well you name your kid, theres still a good chance of being bullyed.)

What about Rose would indicate that your child would be a target? If you named her/him anything, they'd come up with SOMEthing if you want to bully. The good news is, schools all over the nation (if you're American) are enacting bullyproofing policies, and by the time your child enters school, it will hopefully be a thing of the past.

I'm English but my wife is Akha (Thai minority.) So you see the difficulty

My ancestory is Dutch and my wife is Chinese-I went back through my family tree and found traditional dutch names from long dead ancestors, and wife mother added some traditianl chinese names. We alternated names with each kid sometimes my choice came first and hers 2nd or the reverse. Our yougest has 4 names two dutch and two chinese. We made sure the names from both cultures sounded cool in english too.
