Spore
Anyone have any updates on it? When it's coming out? Features recently leaked? Anything?
All I know is that the "official" release date is set sometime in 2007, which makes me a sad panda. But I did get new information recently, that I can create a creature which remains underwater. I wanted to do that, but since I saw the now famous video on googlevideo, I thought you had to go on land. But now I know I can make a civilization of fish people!

Anyways, you'd think with the stuff he showed in E3 2005, which basically made it seem as though the game was finished, Spore would be done by now. And Will Wright isn't one to delay games for the sake of getting more publicity. He wants to please the public, not make money. And besides, there's already so much publicity going around, anymore and people would start a religion. And besides, Will knows that if he doesn't release it by the end of 2006, he needs to start wearing body armor.

I disagree. NWN is MUCH better than WoW or the Diablo-esqe games for RPGing. It depends on the module.

Firstly, it's not an MMO. It's an MSO. A massively single player online game. Instead of playing against other people, the stuff people make is actually inputted into your gaming world, so that it isn't all just generated by the computer. Meh, never played it, so I can't tell. But all click-fest RPG's I've played had a tendency to suck, so I just assumed it's the same for NWN.

Let's disect MMO to prove the inaccuracy of this statement:
Mega-See Multiplayer.
Multiplayer-It's not multiplayer. Incidentally, if it's not multiplayer, it can't be mega multiplayer.
Online- Granted, it is "online", sort of.
Thus 1/3 right. Not enough to justify the term MMO.
And I can't believe I spent that much time debunking that.

No. That sounds boring as hell. Millions, correction, billions of years... of waiting...
If you've ever played Evolution, you know that that is a terrible premises for a game.
But in this game, you can conquer other species. That friggin' rocks.

And about that second statement, do you know where I can get that (and about any other game where I get to play God or get to control evolution) as free or abandon ware? And don't recommend HotU, already been there and cleaned it out.

You can! Along with massive space battles! And the ability to blow up the home planets of your enemy! And the ability to enslave other species! And take lower life forms and put them in zoos!

Yeah, but I got frustrated by my lack of ability to directly control a lot of things. Maybe if I had actually gotten all three Creatures game I would like it better.
