Hey, I saw this movie! He sneaks back into town and shoots up the place with an M-60. Then he's talked down by Richard Crenna. :)

We're talking about Rambo, right?

It's not over for me!

I saw the first Rambo recently. I remember loving it when I was a kid and was completely surprised that it doesn't suck even now. It was dumb but it didn't suck.

He's been stealing guns from unattended homes... how lovely... I feel safer already.

How irresponsible. Guns should be locked up in a gun cabinet or otherwise secured when you're not home.

You cannot defeat Bucky!

In a momentary lapse into seriousness, you're right. Unlocked unattended firearms are terribly irresponsible. In some places, criminally so.

Erm, where did you see that? There is nothing in the article that suggests he found weapons in peoples houses. He is suspected of B&E on a gunshop. Assuming he did shoot those cops, thats more than likely where he got his gear from.

Teasle: Are you telling me that 200 of our men against your boy is a no-win situation for us?
Trautman: You bring that many men, just remember one thing.
Teasle: Oh yeah? What?
Trautman: A good supply of body bags.

Russian Commander: Who do you think this man is? God?
Trautman: No, God would have mercy. He won't.

It is possible for someone to get passed the dreaded locked cabinet you know.

Phillips, 44, broke out of the Erie County jail on April 2 by using a can opener to make a 2-by-2-foot opening in the kitchen ceiling and escaping through the roof. He was serving 90 days for a parole violation.

Firstly, why would he want to break out? Only 90 days compared with what he'd get if he did break out. and secondly, how can yo unot notice a 2x2 ft hole in the ceiling?

God. These guys are resourceful!

Aww, I thought this thread was going to be about bucky-balls. The appearance of the number 60 when I scanned the OP reinforced that notion, but then when I actually read the post, I was sorely let down. For shame!

He hates his lack of freedom and has convinced himself that if he escapes that he won't get caught again. He probably covered the hole after he escaped.

Very true, but for the average break-in and your average crackhead(or whatever breed of lowlife is in your neck of the woods), the average locked gun cabinet or gun safe represents too much work. Especially when you don't know what's in it. On the other hand, if a professional burglar breaks into your house, and takes the time to get into your gun cabinet, then chances are, he knew exactly what he was getting, and no reasonable protection would have stopped him anyway.

Perhaps another day. Bucky-balls are devastatingly interesting in and of themselves. :)
