I'm left-handed, and I'm just curious about the handedness of people here. So, are you left-handed, right-handed, or ambidextrous?

right handed, but I can use both almost equally, I can't write in script with my left hand unless I write upside down though.

I am correct handed. Unfortunatly, most of the world is "right" handed. Have any of you righties ever tried to use left handed scissors? :eek: Try it one time and you will see what us correct handed people have to live with.

Ignoring the stupid "correct handed".....I have no trouble using scissors with either hand; I can use 'right handed' scissors with my left hand and vice versa. Never understood the problem there...

I think it's the insulting 'safety scissors' that are also left handed scissors in grade school instead of the pointy ones that righties get.

I'm primarily left-handed (eating, writing, etc.), for things that require dexterity, but I use my right hand for things that require more strength.

Huh, that reminds me of my first day of middle school. There was a fight in the hallway, a kid got stabbed in the face by a pair of scissors, and the girl who stabbed him got arrested... It was awesome

I am VERY left handed... can't do much with my right hand. When I play baseball, I use a glove on my left hand to catch then take it off to throw.

I am also left footed, left eared, left eyed... so I guess I am very much in my right brain.

I'm left-handed, but due to the right-handed nature of both my parents, there are some things that I naturally do with my right hand - like scissors, vegetable peelers, etc.

Of course Im right handed. Id be dim not to be with everything made for right handers. If I learned to write in one of those silly languages that are written right to left Id do it with my left hand so ball point pens would last more than a few pages. If Im out of position to weld or perform some other single hamded skill with my right hand I will use my left. Otherwise it is swimming upstream just to be different.

Right handed for efficiencies sake. I can write clearly with my left hand, but it takes more time, and comes a little less naturally. I can write really fast with my right hand, and it's the most fluid thing in the world. I could be ambidextrous if I wasn't lazy as hell.

Is my left eye dominant because the right eye has poorer vision, or does my right eye have poorer vision because my left eye is dominant? Does one cause the other, and which is the cause and which is the effect?.

As for the people who are commenting that they use one hand for control and the other for power. That is normal - right handers usually have stronger left arms and lefties have more power in their right arms. To be ambidextrous you have to be able to demonstrate the same degree of control (more or less) with each hand.

I'm mostly ambidextrous, so I put that.

That said, there are a few things I can do with my left hand that I can't do with my right (such as use chopsticks) and there are things I can do with my right that I can't do with my left (such as write), so it would be most appropriate to say that I'm mostly ambidextrous but somewhat mixed-handed.

I have equal power and control with both arms and legs. Some might find that a bit odd, but that's how it's always (well, since I was three) been with me.

I'd have to say Abdexitorus (Wow i slaughtered that), but only becasue i had my right arm in a sling for 2 months and had to learn to do everyint left handed.

I get the same result regardless of which arm is used.

(edit: even with my glasses, the result is the same)

In my case, with the left eye the object is off to the left side but still inside of the circle, while completely outside the circle with my right eye.

(edit: now with my glasses, I get the same result as you)

Again, I am much more near-sighted in the right eye, while left eye dominant. Perhaps this imbalance enhances the effect of the dominance in my case? (edit: whereas with more balanced or similar vision in each eye, the dominance effect is minimal or even nonexistant?)

Probably. I've had my vision tested and it's pretty much the same in each eye.

I'm right handed. I find it impossible to write with my left, whatever I attempt to write is unrecognisable and many of my letters are backwards. When I did ninjitsu and it came to practising techniques with my left hand, I was totally useless. Although I did improve a little, I will never be no where near as good than I am with my right. :(

I noticed that there's no difference. Scissors seem to work just fine for me using my left hand whether they're "lefty" scissors or not.

It probably just has to do with different reactions to wear on each eye. But it could have something to do with the nerve connections in the brain. Odds are it's in the eyes themselves, though.
