How skittish do your kids have to be that they need religious armor to sleep soundly? I can't even begin to imagine how uncomfortable that Helmet of Salvation and Shield of Faith might be...

That's frightening.

I'm going down into my basement now with my tinfoil hat... don't follow.

As fearful as you can make them. Religious fundamentalism is all about fear and insecurity.

Kept alive by surpression of free thought and encouragement of ignorance through lackluster education.

That's 'cause Zeus doesn't give a damn about your two-bit God.

Well, it doesn't conduct electricity, so it might do decently.
Of course, it might make him mad enough to try again, so there goes any protection it might have given from anyone.

Anyone else immediately thought of the Knights Templar and the Crusades when they saw those PJs?

Maybe it's a sign that a new Crusade is coming.

I thought for a moment that it was the British Invasion gone horribly wrong...

Dear God, they've built a commercial empire on this crap! Those dolls creep me out...

This is probably the most blandly obvious question, but how does one manage to sleep while wearing a shield? Wouldn't it get in the way/be really uncomfortable?
The Fiddlebottoms needs to know!

Yeah, but the smell of burnt cloth is just horrendous...especially if it's polyester. That's got to be a punishment in itself.

Of course, it might make him mad enough to try again, so there goes any protection it might have given from anyone.

If he has to try again, you're totally boned.

The root of Islamic radical ideology is just this. The root of all radical religious ideology is this problem. It happens far to much in this world.

It is the easiest way to control the masses.

Why do you think the Nazis persecuted scholars and intellectuals? Why were such people chased out of Cambodia? Why weren't women allowed to be educated?

All for the same reason - control.

Out of curiousity have you been to any muslim nations? Many that I have visited have tight restrictions on the media. However sat tv is really growing in these nations. hopefully giving people some different perspective. But if you stop and talk politics with the average muslim on the street you would be amazed how different they view the world. Also will add that when I have been in China where media restriction is very harsh. The different view on the world is almost scary. It still amazes me that in this day and age that people can be controlled still in this manner.

The attacker sees the outfit and is crippled by fits of incapacitating laughter. It doubles as an alarm system.

I'd like to think that, but most the suidice bombers tend to be well educated middle class people. The uneducated ignorant Muslims tend to just stay on their farms.

Hint to parents:

If your kids are going to bed so scared that they want to wear armor for protection, you've been reading them the WRONG bedtime stories.

At least you now have weapons to sleep with to fight that pesky Freddie Kreuger. I can't help but think these kids will grow up to be violent people
