I'll get you in the afterlife!

I think it was supposed to come out "I'll see you in Hell".

But, I'm not sure if that's what he meant.

At the sentencing hearing before U.S. District Judge Claude Hilton, Ali Asad Chandia maintained his innocence and pledged to exact revenge against prosecutors in the afterlife, saying that "those who participated in making my children orphans ... should just remember that the day of judgment is on the way."
Chandia, 29, who taught at the Al-Huda School in College Park, was convicted in June on three counts of providing material support in what prosecutors called a scheme by Islamic extremists to use force to drive India out of the disputed Kashmir territory in South Asia. A federal jury acquitted him of a fourth count of supporting terrorists.
Chandia was the last of 11 convicted "Virginia jihadists" to be sentenced to terms ranging from 46 months to life.
He was found guilty of serving as a driver for Mohammed Ajmal Khan, a senior military leader of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, which the U.S. government designated as a terrorist organization in December 2001. He also was convicted for assisting Khan in procuring military equipment for Lashkar and giving safe harbor to Khan during Khan's visits to the United States in 2002 and 2003.

And it looks like the group that Aryavartha is always talking about, Lashkar-e-Taiba, is the one that was involved here.

Yes, the day of judgement is on the way...for Mr. Chandia.

If you get caught supporting terrorism, you're not going to white collar resort prison, you're going to Federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and really let go and speak my mind. I think the terrorists are bad, bad people and someone should give them a good talking to.

I am not sure if this is normal, but does anyone else find it odd that the terrorists trained at a Marines base?

The original indictment three years ago stated Chandia was among a dozen men who conspired and trained at shooting ranges and elsewhere in Maryland and Virginia with AK-47 assault rifles, other military weapons and equipment, and paintball guns beginning in 2000. Some training, including military tactics, also took place at the Quantico Marine Corps base in Prince William County.

Not really. Didn't one of those sniper guys in Maryland/Virginia train with the military?

Our military is a huge organization, and it's hard to keep a few whackjobs out of a huge organization, unfortunately. Of course, if these terrorists weren't part of the military at the time, I'd say someone definitely screwed up.

Don't forget they should have time in the thinking chair too!

Yes. Lashkar cells have been busted in the US, UK, France, Australia. They started out as a India-specific jihadi org but now they are well and truly global. I believe that they are now the operating arm of AQ since the operational structure of AQ was destroyed following the US/NATO invasion of Afg. The 7/7 tube bombings, the recent airline plot etc have connections to LeT. The chief of the org, Hafiz Mohd Saeed was arrested the day the plot was announced in the UK, but he has been let out for "lack of evidence" or some such excuse.

Pak court sets LeT founder free
Islamabad,August 28, 2006: A Pakistani court on Monday ordered the release of Hafeez Muhammad Saeed, founder leader of banned Lashkar-e-Tiaba, on the ground the government has failed to provide strong reasons for his arrest.
The Lahore High Court held that the government has failed to provide strong reasons for his arrest and his detention was based on speculation that he could disturb peace, said Saeed's lawyer Nazir Ahmad Ghazi from Lahore.

Judge Akhtar Shabbir quashed the detention order saying the government has failed to provide any proof or strong reasons for his detention.

The court accepted the Defence counsel's argument that Saeed has never indulged in activities to disturb peace and the government has failed to provide proof, he said.

In view of the court's order, the government has to release him, Ghazi said adding that "he is free from this minute".

Saeed, who currently heads a NGO called Jamat-ud-Dawa, (JuD) was arrested on August 10 under the maintenance of public order on the ground that he was likely to disturb peace during his planned rally coinciding with Pakistan's independence day on August 14.

Initially he was held under house detention and later shifted to a guesthouse reportedly in Sheikhapura.

Saeed's detention was challenged through a writ petition by his wife. His sudden detention sparked off speculation that he may have been arrested in view of persistent allegations by India that he and the LeT though banned by Pakistan were responsible for the Mumbai blasts.

His arrest also coincided with the unravelling of the plot to blow up US-bound airlines from UK and some reports linking JuD of diverting the funds sent by Muslim charity groups for earthquake relief to execute the plot to blow up planes.

1. The two men who did the "DC Beltway Sniper" thing were NOT SNIPERS. Not professionally trained.
2. One had been in the army - as a non-combat specialty related to supply. Trained to use his rifle (in the most rudimentary sense) but NEVER TRAINED AS A SNIPER.
3. US Army snipers require exhaustive psychological testing as well as recommendation by the commander and his immediate superiors as a person of good character.

So far, no infamous shootings can be ascribed to any US Army or US Marine snipers (officially trained as such).

Stop rehashing lies.
