I didn't vote in this poll. Polls are always stupid. The fatuous option always wins.

I would implement "write-in polls." Options could be added to the poll, and stupid options redacted. Polls would become two dimensional, showing not just the totals for each option, but the totals over time ... making it plain that an early preference for "panacea" indicated not so much a disdain of "pincushion" and "pistachio" as a one-eyed failure to include "punchinello" in the original poll.

id need a list of those who would be willing to take the job. then i would have an opinion of who should have it.

the thing is, unless you fully agree with the rules here and are quite willing to enforce those rules fairly and consistently, you shouldnt be mod. it would just grate on your nerves to have to deat someone for something you disagree with. or it would bug you to no end to be disallowed from warning someone for something that really isnt against the rules but you hate.

the current mods do a pretty good job fairly enforcing the rules as they exist. (consistent is harder since they do have times when they arent here). id hate to see some like lunatic goofballs be forced to monitor himself and his reaction to posts because he was a mod. as to some others mentioned above, how can someone be mod if they cant follow the rules as a regular member?
