1. Religion. It is what keeps us from evolving to a more intelligent species.
2. Asteroids, meteors, etc.
3. Supervolcanos.

Our greatest threat is probably just some kind of random space diasaster.
Humans have survived pretty damn well both with and without modern technology, and we will be able to manage our natural resources without exhausting them; we won't destroy ourselves and we won't destroy our planet. The only way we're going down is if we blink out of existence or we're totally annihilated by a supermassive asteroid...and both of those have an infintesimally small chance of occuring.

Generally, I think we're the greatest threat to ourselves. We start creating better ways to kill each other all the time under the facade of "Military Science" and we poison each other by releasing deadly toxins into the air all in the name of "Industrial Progression". We cut down our vital suppliers of oxygen and we refuse to stop growing, when the fact is we only have so many resources and the world doesn't share them equally to begin with.

The fact that we all hate each other, not so much religion. If religion were to disappear one day, we'd just find other reason to fight and kill because it's sadly in our nature.

Entropy. Unless a source of free energy is discovered, the energy in the universe will eventually run out and the laws of thermodynamics will kill us all.

yes, and no.
look, if you are a real cynic you can describe the bloodiest century in history as a falling out amongst royal families.
but there is a bit more to it than that.
the thing is, you can have a stupid opinion. you can act upon that stupid opinion. but when it is a stupid opinion in the name of religion, then it gets a special status.

Of course we could kill each other with nuclear weapons or Nano-bots (and the human race is screwed anyway)

I think the fact that we hate our own kind will be what leads to our downfall as a species.
This ball of dirt won't last us forever, one way or another humanity will have to expand it's reach if it plans to survive...it's going to take a LOT of work to prepare for the day when we have to leave. If we're too busy fighting each other, well...as it stands now, I'm guessing it won't happen...we'll just go extinct.
Either me, or that guy ruffy. We are pretty dangerous apart...but wait..could you imagine us together. This world would not survive!

Human nature. The sooner it can be improved, the better. Too bad doing so soon enough, in the right direction, would require a worldwide revolution and a bunch of mad scientists taking control of human reproduction, something that will be hard to implement.

Well quite obviously, if human kind does survive for much longer, eventually the sun is going to supernova, especially if we learn to use hydrogen fusion which would create unlimited power and have such force that we would create a massive shockwave, destroying the Earth and our entire solar system unless we control it. Then again it could be that the rich people travel to another galaxy and launch a nuke at the sun GTG!!!

The Toe-Ring of Rassalon.
What's the greatest threat to mankind?
Lack of Self Restraint.
Without Self Restraint, science will create diseases and weapons capable of destroying man.
Without Self Restraint, people will use those weapons... and any other they can get.
Without Self Restraint, people will consume mass quantities of food, turning obease and creating health problems that they want others to fix.
Without Self Restraint, people will consume mass quantitites of Drugs and Alcohol, for no other reason than "Because it's fun"
Without Self Restraint, violence will surge, might will make right.
Without Self Restraint, polerization of the world will occurre, "us vs. them" mentality will run rampant.
Without Self Restraint, resources will dry up.
the death of man will come with a lack of Self Restraint.

Uncontrolled growth leeching away vital resrouces(not 9)
Possible. The problem is that we tend to overuse certain resources and only pay lip service to searching for new ones. We don't care about developing nuclear fusion, solar power, or even buying ourselves some time by minimg coal; all we want is oil and more oil.
The fact that we tend to work against nature than with it
This certainly causes some problems, but it's not really lethal for all humanity. Cancer's a big problem, and it seems like a cure is more important than prevention.
The fact that we, as a whole, hate our own kind more than anything
Or the fact that we're so insanely tribal and power-hungry that we drum up reasons to hate other people.
giant space rocks crashing into earth
Definitely a scary proposition, but how often does that really happen?
forks. Not only are they dangerously pointy, but they are everywhere
Only salad forks, though; they have a major Napoleon complex.
deadly diseases ironacally created by methods used to stop others
Synthetic diseases are really scary. I don't know how one would stop those. Even with the deadliest diseases in history, it is almost impossible to wipe out humanity as a whole; no disease has even come close that we're aware of. Synthetic diseases are a whole different story.
we're heading towards a sex-filled world when std's are still a problem
STD's are bad news, but some have been around for ages. AIDS is the big problem, and sadly, our leaders would rather use it as a political tool than eradicate it. That's the biggest problem we face - valuing political squabbles over important issues.
overpopulation.
Hardly. Given 150 years, the Earth's population will likely begin shrinking, Europe will be a continent of immigrants, and the trend toward a shrinking population will begin.
Mankind is invincible.
I think we all know that's not true.
I'm an opinionless robot. Beep. Beep.
We neglected the biggest problem of all - stupid people. Stupid people are the single biggest scourge on humanity. Accept no substitutes.

Possibly a MAJOR nuclear war, but that wouldn't kill everybody if we were lucky.
The only other thing is a gamma burst or whatever you call it, but i only think that would take half the planet (i doubt gamma radiation could get through the entire planet).

Right now it would seem like religious conservatives of all types. Or conservatives in general, because by definition they don't change and when something doesn't change and adapt it becomes extinct.
