I was just thinking... what kind of person would you never ever want date/get into a relationship with?

Apart from the obvious (murderers, rapists, etc) I personally would have a very hard time indeed getting involved with a military person. No, not just the US military, any military. I would hate the thought that this person is actually willing to kill under certain circumstances... and I hate uniforms of all kind. And the haircuts look godawful, too.

Other than that, I think I would find it disgusting if the person chewed his/her fingernails off. Not just bit them off, but really chewed them off until the nails seem to be receeding into the skin. The mere thought of hands like these makes me shiver.

Bad hygiene would be another no-no...
And general stupidity would be the biggest turn-off of them all.

Well, I think the tramp stamp just looks nasty I mean honestly who the hell think those things are sexy? As for bars and clubs, I don't know it's just not my scene, I've been to a few and really, it's just not my cup of tea. Now for the drinking, smoking and drugs. Well I've seen what those things can do in my own family, and really I just don't want to go through that again.

I'd generally say that I'm not gonna rule out big groups of people (ie religious, political etc), because even with people who I'd generally say I wouldn't get on with, there can be an odd few individuals who I do. It could be hard, but maybe it'd be worth it. And small habits and things, I could probably get past.

Though I have to go with PM on discompassionate people. There's just no way I would have any interest in any form of relationship with someone discompassionate. I'm pretty critical in this sense though, so it rules out a fair amount of people, such as people who gossip, and I'm generally pretty empathetic and compassionate so I have high standards, heh....

Bad hygiene is right up there. I would never be willing to be in a relationship with somebody who was a total slob, either, since I would not be willing to be their maid if we were to live together. I wouldn't date a person who was strongly superstitious (i.e. really believed in God, fairies, astrology, etc). I wouldn't date somebody who believed in traditional gender stereotypes, mainly because you have to be deeply stupid to do so and I am not attracted to the deeply stupid.

If your problem is that religion teaches one to beleive what has been proven to be illogical, Buddhism generally agrees that things that cannot be proven logically are not true. So,it's like it'd be a really big,strange religion to deal with. Technically,it is athiesm in the sense that there is no Buddhist omnipotent god.

For me, the only things that I do that might be considered a bit strange is meditating daily for a few minutes and not doing any sort of intoxicants,including alcohol.Buddhism isn't really a dominating religion that imposes itself on every facet of one's life.It barely touches other people,probably.

If he had no other option... maybe. But in Germany for example you can refuse conscription for reason of conscience. You'll have to do social service then, and a few months more than if you decided to do the military service.
Both my brothers did that, and I respect them immensly for that.

I can think of some things. If they were as old as my parents, or older, that's a no no. Or if they were a fitness freak (and tried to make me join in), that might put me off a bit.

There are probably more, but on the whole, I don't know there are too many things that would make me flat out reject a person. If the bad parts were balanced or outweighted by good traits.

Maybe there are things which might require somewhat larger compensation... (:eek:)

I actually support you. I believe who you want to date is your business, no one elses. If people call you a racist for it, well, just tell them that there's nothing wrong with having standards.

- someone who doesn't read for fun
- someone who hates dogs
- a hunter of any kind (I might be able to deal with fishing)

I can't date anyone I can predict easily.

Most of mine have already been mentioned. But I would add anyone who deals in death. I'd have a hard time dating a butcher, undertaker, taxidermist, etc. I should probably add millitary to that, but I would take that one a case by case basis.

For example, it is not my fault that I'm denied the right marry. That is the US governments fault. And I will complain about it. A lot. However, I won't just complain about it.

Bad hygene. This even goes into body. Now, I'm not saying you have to be a supermodel, or even thin. But just someone who gives a damn. For insance, you could be clearly obese, but still care about how you look...dress nice, look good, smell good

someone judgemental. I currently have blue hair and a mohawk...mostly for the purpose of proving to friends and family that people can look "weird" and still be great people who don't fit the sereotype.

Regarding down here, I've dated people from Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Panama. I still have to check what Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Ecuador have to offer.

ah, but that's not my problem.......see, if you said "I am angry with the government for not letting me get married and I am going to fight to get that changed" I wouldn't be annoyed.

The people I am talking about say (using your example) "I hate the government because they won't let me get married, that's why I don't have a good car, because the government hates gay people"
