I say banner and not flag or logo because we need to re-orient ourselves back to when we used to see things more clearly:

The White field with Red cross is a wondefully simple and powerful symbol, but it has two drawbacks for use as a unifying totem in the Final Crusade:

1) Non-Christians such as India and (hopefully) China will be involved, and we should respect their seperate identity; and

2) The English still use it

This I like. But definitely agreed, the imagery is not universal enough.

The islamofascists are enemies of everyone who is not, well, islamofascist.

The Christian cross on this wonderful image is not suitable to Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Mandeans, etc who are equally under siege.

And the terrorist jihad isn't even just against "the West". India and Thailand are about as "Eastern" as one can get.

What about an image (someone would have to craft such a thing) showing a multiethnic army (It's not just white people who are dealing with Jihadis...) with "soldiers of freedom" each under his or her sign of faith or ethnic identity. United, facing the viewer.

Sure, some less-numerous peoples and faiths would have to be left out. There's no way we could portray all the peoples of the world, because, heck, we are ALL targetted for conversion or death.

But we could at least have the half-dozen most numerous and powerful: Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Christians, Sikhs, and scientific/agnostic/atheists (perhaps with an atomic symbol on their shield)

I listed the above peoples as best I could in order of historicity, in the interest of fairness. This IS a universal "us v them".

lets not just have antiquated swords and shields. Show us with state of the art aircraft overhead, tanks behind us, and sweet, sweet personal armaments, because that's what we're hunting them with, not longbows, swords, knights, and pikemen.
