I'm seriously liking it. It's displaying very crisply and sharp in Firefox with certain font rendering tweaks. The multi-quote feature is bitching, and so is the inline editing and posting. :)

Ooh, and the thread search functions are finally back!

X-post theft from other thread. I do not like the post "message" when you do multi-quotes, though, but that I can live with.

Yeah. The multi-quote is nice, as I just found out. I don't like the massive grey slabs between posts, and probably a hundred things more. I'm bad with change. *shrugs*
In a few days, I'll have gotten used to it & won't even remember how it used to look before, so eh.

Yeah, but that's not the new layout, that's just because of the "Announcement" thread on top. It always does that. I hates it.

Huh, somebody SMRTER than me please post a screen shot of how he's lying. :p I use Netscape and the boxes with the "locked" icons etc. all stretch way to the right because on top, where your screen shows the eye, mine says "Announcement" (yes, before the same word in bold right after it), so all the boxes beneath it end up the same width.

Meh. I wanted to get Firefox a year or more ago but then I read about all the bugs it had and didn't.

I'm sure any bug is long since fixed but the urge to voluntarily do something with my computer other than blindly use it only strikes me about every decade or so, so meh.

Plus, you know, I don't deal well with change. ;)

this

haven't used the multiquote thing yet, but its a good idea, and the quote linking back to the original post is brilliant. the post editing thing is also easier, and the whole forum seems quicker to load and much smoother. yay! :)
the seach-in-thread thing now working is also great cos that annoyed the shit out of me before :P

bad things are i don't like the grey background of this text box (for typing posts), and the menu of User CP, FAQ, Memers List, etc being below where it used to be is weird. i liked the little buttons we had for that before.
i also don't like that there's now only one reply button in threads (on the left rather than on both sides), and i don't like the boxyness cos it looks like it did, uh... a long time ago and doesn't look so modern/clean now.

but generally *thumbs up*

i don't like that you have to manually deselect multiquote things though...

Really? I see nothing in either the "anouncements" (sic) or the announcements that explains why the current skins have to be even fuglier than before.

Yeah but, once you click on anouncements. Some of the problems just automaticly go away for some strange reason.

Let's make up for time lost, eh?
I like how the little paperclip thing gives a list of attached files. Nice. Though I have no idea if that's new or not.
The file didn't work.
It worked for me.

The views counter still says 0, though I've downloaded it, as has Hydesland(presumably).

Nope, it's caught up now, nevermind.

Maybe American .docs aren't the same as British .docs?

Haha, changing the post number in the quote box is fun.

If only reading the announcements beuatified these skins and restored the old forum titles (as we were promised would happen)....

Well if the forum doesn't slow down or even go down like it used to then I'd say it certainly is better. That mulit-quote feature could be especially useful.

I fear change...

But this ain't all bad... I actually think I will grow very fond of this indeed :)

Has anyone noticed the thing that tells you how many posts have been deleted, next to the thread name in general?

Kool, so that's how you use multiple quotes. That will come in quite handy.

 i like the grey look of these forums - sets the place apart from most other forums out there and looks classy imho (dispite misgivings over the boxyness, heh)
Grey is poop!
They used to be a different colour as well, or at least the search function area was that dark blue.
Sigh, old days...

I'm seriously liking it. It's displaying very crisply and sharp in Firefox with certain font rendering tweaks. The multi-quote feature is bitching, and so is the inline editing and posting. :)exactamente.

and I like (verry-much) the green arrow in-quote

Just restart your computer and it'll work again. I think.

That happens sometimes when I just leave the page open and wonder off to watch tv for awhile..

I like the poll one, though the thumbtack on stickies is a bit useless, but that's only cos I've been here long enough to ignore the stickies automatically. The noobs will like it.
