Do you have a favourite thing about being in a relationship? For instance I love when she smiles and laughs after I say something funny or nice. I'm sure why but it is just a great feeling. So please, share what you like about your relationship.

The connection that I feel I can share anything I need with her, no matter how big or small, and vice versa. I love the feeling that I'm not just another asshole - that I'm somebody in her eyes.

Though, I might be high when I'm writing this so...I don't know.

I don't think there's anything inherently good about being in "a relationship." Many relationships have no redeeming qualities at all.

With that said, particular relationships can have some lovely qualities all their own. In my current relationship, for instance, I have somebody who will play MarioKart with me, makes terrific egg salad, and loves me tender on a regular basis.

:p yeah.

oh, and knowing that when I have a crappy day there is one person in the world that I can call and yell at without having to worry about being coherent or nice, and then I get cuddles. ;)

Hmmm... the common element is?

Mmhmm! And it's the good kind, too!

Not that fumbling nervous stand-offishness that comes from a new lover, but the mind blowing experimental insanity that comes from knowing someone so deeply mentally and physically.

yeah.

I love that I went into a 2 hour rant of "why life sucks today" by Smunkee, while he was trying to fix my computer, and he listened, validated, ect. and still liked me after.

Seriously, anyone else that wants to come whine about anything to him, isn't going to get that treatment, most of the time they get a "if you don't like it change it or shut the fuck up"

:p

I am spoiled.

as you can see, niether of these things are too wholesome or justified. maybe it's good that I broke up with him.

I don't laugh at my husband's jokes as much as I used to, it's like I have taken on his sense of humor, so I "get" his jokes before he actually says them and by the time he does say them I have already had my private chuckle and it's like old news....

It's difficult to think of anything I don't like about being in the relationship I'm in. Which is not to say that we don't occasionally get on each other's nerves, or piss each other off, but those are just momentary patches of turbulence. I like what she does for me and I like being able to do things for her. :D

Having a relationship in the first place might be start! If then I'm happy, all is good. As for now... :(

Now, of course - pleasing the lady with smaller and bigger things is always nice and well appreciated, be it little presents, surprises, time shared, etc.

I'm usually happy when she is. And "schmusen" is always good (canoodling?).

my favourite part of being in a relationship is knowing that someone is there at the end of the day and the excuse to shower someone in love (I do this anyway but its always good to have an excuse to)

For teh funny: I love how my wife actually makes an attempt to take everything I say seriously, even when she should know better by now.

For teh cute: The cuddles... the cuddles are nice, even when they don't lead more more physical activity.

Seriously: The best thing I like about my wife and I's relationship is that we somehow managed to survive two years of being 5,000 miles apart for 4 months at a time, and yet the minute we do get to see each other you wouldn't be able to tell because we just mesh that well together. No matter what the stress, we both always seem to be looking after each other and caring for each other. And that really is what I like the best.

Relationships, as in platonic: I like how my friend can help me make sense of my irrational feelings

Relationships, as in not platonic: I don't know. I've no experience with non-platonic relationships.

Having a reliable hook up for the warm fuzzies.

Really, that's it. Everything extends out of that-sex just happens when you have a warm fuzzy overload and need to do something drastic about it-so sex is just the ultimate warm fuzzy.

Someone that gives a rats ass about you, total warm fuzzy. I certainly take way better care of myself when I'm with someone than when I'm not-not condusive to replacement, but meh. It's like having Burgess Merideth in your corner yelling, "You can get him, Rock' but she looks a whole lot better and she'll let you fondle her goodies.

If she played video games, dug cars, liked watching pretentious films and crappy ones, played cello while singing torch songs, and smoked weed I'd pretty much have to worship her-but she wouldn't be into that so I wouldn't have to really.
