Coworkers: Love 'Em, Hate 'Em, Like 'Em
So, in the spirit of something COMPLETELY different...what do those of you that work think of your coworkers?
As for me, I really like most of mine. As a whole, they are a friendly, hilarious bunch. I can't think of a single day at work where I haven't laughed at least once. Still, there are a few I do not like. (To protect their identities I shall use fake names.) For instance, one Hispanic fellow--we'll call him Juan--really pisses me off. He'll insult me in Spanish while talking to other Hispanics, thinking that I don't know what he's saying.(And I refuse to let him in on the fact that I speak fluent Spanish.) Furthermore, he treats me like I'm an idiot that needs to be shown how to do everything all the damned time.
Then there's Lisa, who is a self-centered jackass. Always caring about herself all the time--never asking about others, yadda yadda yadda. You know the type. If they make a mistake and you try to help them, they'll narrow their eyes at you and tell you to stop talking down to them. But they're free to give you all the advice they want. Ugh.
But apart from those two--and the occasional clash with one or two others--my coworkers are awesome people. Frankly, I think I lucked out.
So...what about your coworkers?
There's only one person at my job I can't tolerate.
She's stunningly condescending, slacks off on her assigned duties, and in general has no fucking clue how to do her job.
Everyone else is cool. :p

Most of my co-workers are pretty good & I get along well with them. There are only two that I really don't like.
One is quite young & immature. She thinks she knows everything & just talks about herself all the time. She's very boring & irritating to be around.
The other is very selfish & demanding. She always interrupts & asks for help, but is never willing to help in return. She's also quite rude & bad tempered.
Do you work hard?

I'm freelance so my co-workers change from job to job. For the most part everyone is cool. Occasionally I'll run into a producer that's a dick or whatnot, but for the most part everyone is cool.
I get along with most of mine. Besides one, who is nice enough to know my name, I don't like the managers too much, because they're generally rude to me (in addition to putting me on report and threatening sackings for random things like having long hair as a powertrip on their behalf - nowhere is long hair mentioned on the dress coderrrr).
Most of the people I work with directly are a fair bit younger than me, so I don't really associate with them much, but the ones around my age are pretty cool and i'm friends with a few outside of work.

Fight the good fight, brother! Don't put up with that shit. They only get 40 hours a week and they shouldn't be able to dictate what you look like or do the other 128. A job is something you do because they pay you, it shouldn't define you. Fuckin' messed up world.

I've been the older cat at work for a while. That's what I get for dragging my feet through life...

Heh, they only get 15 of mine...I only work part time because i'm also at university.
But yeah, I put up a fight about it, 'till I got threatened with losing my job...so I grudgingly went and had my hair cut. But i've grown it back now, and they haven't said anything....yet. But another girl (friend of mine) got in trouble for having a purple streak through her hair too. Sigh.
Oh, and i'm not allowed facial hair either.
Stupid job.

Yeah, i'm in a different situation though. I bag groceries at a supermarket, most of the other people are 16, and i'm 20...although everyone assumes i'm 16 too. Which isn't really so good. Ehh. :/

My boss is a nutcase. But she likes me, so she only rarely unleashes her wrath on me. Plus, I only work a day or two per week, so it's standable.
My co-workers are fellow students doing part-time jobs, and they're all okay. Some are more or less okay than others, and there is a certain amount of turnover, but we get along very well. Over the years, there has been a lot of recruiting of friends when a job opening came up, so for long periods of time I've actually worked with good friends of mine.
Why, if my boss got rid of her psychotic episodes, it would be a fabulous place to work at.

I don't want to sleep with her, I just want to make her nicer.
Oh lemme see. I work dispatch for a trucking company, nearly everything is done by computer now, whereas when I started three years ago it was mostly done via phone and fax.
One co-worker is a pretentious lazy bitch who milks the clock mercilessly while trying to figure out any angle to fuck over others for cash (as in her Husband gets disability, but has an under the table job). A scheming vile bitch with no compunction about lying to anyone and everyone to get exactly what she wants.
Another co-worker is, via the best way I could describe him, an ewok. He's shorty, furry, and technically inept. It took me considerable trouble to get him to realize a computer can be used for more than playing solitaire. First time I went on vacation after we switched to computers for near everything he called me 16 motherfucking times in two days. After I left him a detailed bullet point list of everything he needed to do. Last time I took a vacation I unplugged my fucking phone. He sings, he makes odd grunting noises, he turns the air conditioner on full blast (it'll move papers across the desk 10 feet away) constantly. I understand he's an obnoxious hairball but I'm fucking freezing!
I don't want to sleep with her, I just want to make her nicer.
Maybe she needs someone to sleep with her. *nods*

I aquired the fierciest cut-throats this side of the line, and to be sure i wouldn't trust them with my life but if plunder and booty wasn't on the offering!

Hoo boy...my coworkers are paragons of The Bad Decision. They have been making bad decisions all their lives and they continue to do so, and their favorite thing to do is to tell me and each other all about it.
Maybe you shouldn't have left your husband for a bipolar maniac who cheated on HIS wife with YOU and is now cheating on you too! And then left him...and then went BACK to him!
Maybe you shouldn't have let your crackhead husband back in your house after you already got a protective order from him! And then started dating a crack DEALER!
Maybe you shouldn't have dropped out of college, then you wouldn't be in this dead-end, low-paying job!
Maybe you shouldn't beat your children, resulting in them being delinquent now!
Maybe you shouldn't have unprotected sex with sex addicts!
Maybe you shouldn't have gotten that huge tattoo of flowers all over your lower back at the age of 40!
Maybe you shouldn't eat fried chicken every day for lunch, resulting in your being obese and having high blood pressure!
Maybe you shouldn't rely on the "rhythm method" of birth control, and now you have another kid by the guy you were trying to divorce!
Maybe you shouldn't spend so much money on designer clothes and fried chicken when you can't even pay your bills and have to borrow money from your crack-dealing friend!
...I could basically go on all day, but suffice to say they have new stupid drama every day and I barely get my work done because somebody is always crying or angry or having a nervous breakdown. I hate this job.

Why, if my boss got rid of her psychotic episodes, it would be a fabulous place to work at.Kinda the same at the pub...about 3 years ago everyone working there was in our year at school, which was great fun.
Now there is the odd one that no one really likes working with, because she stands around texting and chatting on her phone most of the night, you just wanna scream 'leave your f**king phone alone!'. And a while back there was a lovely lady that had a huge bum! and working on a bar with a lady with a huge bum is kinda hard, we nicknamed her pumpkin butt. :) But generally people who work behind bars are a good laugh. God knows what people think of me!
So, in the spirit of something COMPLETELY different...what do those of you that work think of your coworkers?
My coworkers sometimes make me crazy, but they are generally cool people. Particularly Mei Shao and Xudong, who help me fix all the various things that I end up breaking.

out of my 8 jobs I only have 5 with "co-workers" that are outside of my family, and I only get paid for 1 of those.
1 chairperson committee- I don't like any of my committee.
2 secretary committee- (different one)- I like everyone, but this one person just annoys me, but it's not her fault, it's one of those personality clash things.
3 charity director- I like the kids that the charity is there to help, some of their parents though are...........not the type of people I would hang out with if I had a choice, in fact, some of them make me want to start a commune and invite their kids to live with me, just so I can get them away from the negative energy.
4 acting agent- not really coworkers, but other agents and casting directors, most of them are pretty cool, I don't really like this one casting agent, but I don't have to deal with him often, I don't have a reason not to like him, he just seems......wrong.
5 preschool teacher- I like the kids (again) and this time I like the parents too, but not really the other teachers in the program, some of them just don't talk to kids the way I do, so it's really my issue and not theirs.

I was attempting to come up with a clever title. It didn't work out too well.
My coworkers surprised me today, though. The sheer amount of boredom lead to some absolutely hilarious situations, including one coworker--a Muslim girl--pretending to make sexual advances on another coworker after we joked about the other coworker being a lesbian. The manager on duty--the head manager, as it were, of the Wendy's--joined in the fun, too.

What, do you work at a methadone clinic?
No...sadly, we're a social program. We visit first time parents in the area who are deemed "at-risk" for child abuse. We teach them about child development and parenting skills, and help them get resources and whatnot. Two of my coworkers have openly said that they wished the program had been around when they had THEIR kids, because it really would have helped. One said, "I wouldn't have beat Becky so much..."
:p
