im trying to make a metal cd (all kinds from power to trash to goth)
this is the playlist i have so far....
01 - dark tranquillity - the new build
02 - Arch Enemy - Burning Angel
03 - in flames - coerced coexistence
04 - Between the Buried and Me - The Endless Obsession
05 - Fear Factory - Piss Christ
06 - Slayer - ANgel of Death
07 - Mushroomhead - Solitaire-Unraveling
08 - Children of Bodom - Northern Confort
09 - Otep - Blood Pigs
10 - Lamb Of God - Terror And Hubris In The House Of Frank Pollard
11 - Sepultura - Refuse-Resist
12 - Killswitch Engage - Numbered Days
13 - DragonForce - Valley of the Damned
14 - Chimaria - Down Again
15 - Lacuna Coil - My Wings
this is the tracklist im thinking about using....based on music i have of course.
do you suggest any other bands that should be on this list in place of the ones already here? (do not suggest songs, unless from same album as songs on list )

Doesn't trash include all metal?
IMO take it apart and find modern European stuff. American metal is an exercise in excruciating boredom.

Two of my favorite songs, by two of my favorite bands... :)
Although I think it might be better if you replaced Piss Christ with Self-Bias Resistor off of the same CD...no real reason, I just like Self-Bias Resistor better...it's a good tune to crank up the volume on while driving down the highway. :cool:
Perhaps some Blind Guardian? "When Sorrow Sang" would fit well on that CD...
Aside from that, some excellent selections...the only band there I am unfamiliar with is Between the Buried and Me....are they any good? :p

Where is the black metal, my friend?!
Anything by Crimson Moonlight, Mortuary Drape or Gorgoroth. Hell, even some old Dimmu Borgir would be good.
And for just pure awesomeness, put on some Rifles At Recess. I love that band. Technically metalcore, but I think you broke that rule by putting Killswitch on there.
