If you hate blizzard so fucking much, stop playing their games, and paying for them monthly. You're just fueling that which you hate.

The perma-death isn't so bad once you get the hang of the whole respawn thing. You've got to be sure to set the "messiah" trigger properly, though, and even then respawning takes about 3 days or so.

The phrase "the customer is always right" seems to be rapidly becoming obsolete. Soon, it will lie in the phrase boneyard, along with such notable quotes as "New Coke is awesome," "Dole for President," and "Stormstrike FTW!"
I started to say this solely because of Blizzard Entertainment, and some of their actions over the past couple of months. Some of their decisions have been real head scratchers to me, a paying customer. First off, there's the obvious PvE advantage the Alliance has over the Horde. I won't rehash the argument here, but let me just say Fear Ward, Paladin buffs topping Shaman buffs (save Windfury), the few advantages totems give the Horde, Blizzard quickly snatch away (see Grounding Totems on Princess Huhuran), and instead of listening to the players of both classes and trying to bring both Shamans and Paladin's "up in the world," Blizzard decides to hit the "LORELOL" button and now the only thing different between Horde and Alliance is /dance (which, again, Blizzard gives the advantage to the Alliance!).
Blizzard's response? "It brings balance to both factions."
We don't want balance, we want some version of equal footing!
And people complain about how the World PvP in Silithus is NOT what they want. What the large, vocal majority of them want is the return of World PvP ala the Tarren Mill/Southshore days. Not only was the back and forth action fun to be a part of, but it fit the lore! Horde/Alliance, fighting back and forth! For territory! For pride! For honor! Sure, a couple of DHK's were handed out, and it would screw over an entire raid, but that would easily be remedied by either removing DHK's or making certain civvies non-targettable.
So, after looking at feedback, at what players want, at what players suggested, and at what players want (note I said that twice), what does Blizzard give us?
Sand.
I don't mind the concept of sand as a resource to be contested over. What I do mind, again, is how Blizzard smacks the "LORELOL" button and now Cenarion Circle, an orgainzation spreading over both factions, bringing them together to fight the Silithid menace, is now going "now that we have you all here, we want you to go out and fight over sand. And the faction who gets us the most sand, we'll like you a little more for 15 minutes." Oh, and PvP in EPL? The Argent Dawn, another organization who wants us all to get along, will let the factions kill each other over towers.
Blizzard's response? "It will make these zones exciting to be in."
Ok, I go to these zones. Trust me, being chased by Fallen Heroes and being randomly charged 8 times by a Silithid Dredger? Exciting enough!
(BTW, you want to really make world PvP fun again? Note how there's 4 towers in the Hillsbrad Foothills and how wide open the Arathi Highlands are. And both are between a Horde-zone in Silverpine Forest and an Alliance-zone in Wetlands. Draw your own conclusions)
And don't get me started on the whole "25-man raid" zone stuff. So pretty much, the high-end, hard-as-hell, epic-level content is going to be just a smidge bigger then Zul'Gurub? Hey, Blizzard, why not just make more 20-man raid zones for casuals and keep the 40-man raid zones for raiders? Raiders whose butt you kissed for months now and are screwing over to appeal to the rising voices of casuals!
(Ok, in retrospec, maybe this should have started with "Most customers are always right." But I digress)
As I said way-above, ignoring my just-above statement, "the customer is always right." And, of course, Blizzard's paying customers are complaining. Bitching, even. About how what they want is being completely ignored. At first, I thought "well, they are paying customers, so they have a right to complain." It's the new version of my dad's old saying, "If you don't vote, you can't b*tch." So I thought to myself "why isn't Blizzard listening to more of these complaints? Why don't they do what the customers want?"
Then it hit me.
Blizzard hates their customers.
And then I followed the thought process out a little more, and it made perfect sense to me.
Who DOESN'T hate their customers?
Every person who reads this post has, at one point or another, dealt with a "customer." It could have been a customer at McDonald's, a patient riding in the back to an ambulance, or a client representing a massive account. And we have all felt that sense of loathing looking at them. That sense of "I really don't want to wait on/take care of/deal with you." That feeling of "Just go away." That concept of "I'd rather stick sharpened pencils into my ears and then have someone hit me upside the head with a hammer then sit here and listen to you."
I delivered pizza for seven years in high school, college, and graduate school. I made the majority of my money in tips. Delivery charges. Being nice to the people who ordered. Getting it their as fast, as fresh, and as hot as possible. And putting a smile on my face every time I did it.
Deep down inside? "Ugh. I could be sitting on the back steps reading." And it would seem preferable, even to making 5 bucks for 10 minutes of work.
How many of us have IT jobs? Didn't someone, once upon a time, post their daily "Worst Technical Support Call of The Day?" It's great to sit there and not interact with people all day long, just you and a computer. Until you get that phone call because someone forgot their password. Then, in that moment, even for the briefest of instants, you think to yourself "God, I hate this job." Because that customer called you right then and there.
To go a little more white-collar, how many lawyers like dealing with clients? Actually sitting down and talking business with them? Very few, I imagine.
So, why do we all hate customers so much, if their "always right?" Simple. Customers are whiny, complaining, moody, b*tchy, yelling, moping, moaning people. They always want something, and they want it RIGHT THEN AND THERE! God forbid if you can't bend over backwards far enough that your spine breaks in half to help them, because then you "have an attitude" and "should get off your butt and help me" and "put on some damn pants before seeing the Senator." In my old job, I had to look up information on people before I could help them. And sometimes, there was a long line. And always, there was a sign on the door, the wall coming into the office, and another sign on my desk. "TAKE A NUMBER. HAVE A SEAT. I WILL CALL YOU WHEN I CAN."
And what always happened?
Someone would come in, walk right up to my desk when I'm in the middle of helping a customer, and go "Hi! I need a badge." "Hi! I lost my badge." "Hi! I need a blue stripe on my badge."
"Take a number. Have a seat. I will call you when I can."
"O...kay...how rude."
And when I mean always? I mean "ALWAYS!" Oh, and another thing - customers refuse to follow directions. Why should they read the signs and follow the big bright arrows to direct them where to stand/sit/wait when they can come up to you while you're working, loom over you/stand uncomfortably close to the customer you're currently helping, and wait for you to notice them.
"Hi! It says to stand under the Passport/Visa Photo sign to get Passport/Visa Photos. Is that what I do?"
Personally, I think it's because people have to establish that "customer/helper," or as I call it, "customer/lackey," relationship verbally. If people followed directions, printed out, clearly stated, no-room-for-mistakes-in-judgement directions, then they wouldn't be "customers" at that point, would they? Nope, they would just be "people waiting for help." Can't have that. Since every customer that comes into a place is obviously "superior" to the person working there, and that has to be established early. "Hi! I'm a customer, I'm going to be loud, obnoxious, have the wrong paperwork, threaten to call your supervisor, call MY supervisor, put you on the phone with my supervisor so YOU can tell him that I have the wrong paperwork and can't help me, listen to him yell at you and threaten your job, and THEN go and get the right paperwork, costing me half-an-hour because I couldn't follow directions, but more importantly, losing that 30 minutes because YOU wouldn't bend over backwards and break the rules for me, so YOU'RE the a**hole here."
Ever notice that? You're the one holding all the power in the relationship, since you're the one providing them a service, but you're the "loser," the "flunkie," the "low man," because they're obviously so important and busy and in a hurry and you're doing a job a trained monkey could do. Personally, I'd love to see these people try to last five minutes in any sort of "service" job, because I always was willing to bet, half-an-hour behind my desk and they'd be crying "no mas, no mas."
(Oh, and you know what else? This applies to Guild Leaders too, now that I mention it. I tried leading a raid this past Saturday night into AQ 20, and it was so stressful, my friends took me to a strip club to stop me from going nuts. Think of those 19/39 other raiders as "customers," think about what I said above, and suddenly, you're looking up at the Guild/Raid leader in a whole new light. "I think we should kill the boss this way," "Why use a rez macro," "If he's rolling on that loot, I'm rolling on that loot," "Hey, guys, I know we're doing AQ 20, but I'm up in Winterspring, having logged there an hour ago even though I knew we were doing AQ 20, can I get a summon?" A certain player who's name I won't mention because I don't want to add noteriety to this thread made a comparison to "herding cats," and believe me, I understand that metaphor completely now)
Randall Graves said it best. "This job would be great if it wasn't for the [BLEEP]ing customers."
And now that I thought it out, I bet Blizzard feels the same way.
News flash - they hate us. The Devs, the CM's, the PR people, the alpha testers, they all loathe and despise us players. They hate our "right" to compain. They hate how we can play this game for fun and they have to play it for work. They hate how every single decision that they make is criticized, run through the wringer, and thrown away more then the Druid Trinket from BWL. They hate how all of their good ideas are met with cries of "I'M CANCELLING MY ACCOUNT WHEN IT RUNS OUT IN FIVE MONTHS IF I REMEMBER TO OR IF MY GUILD ISN'T KILLING NEF BY THAT POINT!"
We players aren't always right. We complain about everything.
And I don't blame Blizzard in the least for hating us in the process.

I played Horde on Illidan. At L36 I was running around with 3000 gold and was bored off my arse because I had all the quests beat (final fishing quest, cooking quest, etc), and there was nothing to look forward to except getting a mount and lots of getting killed by L60s.
Basically, I played about 2 hours a day for 5 months and was an inflationary agent on the Horde auction house. :D
