Proving once again that when it comes to the latest political moves, capatalists have it all over communists, several seasons after the US caused a thrill with the hip and funky post-September 11th pre-emptive stylings, North Korea has finally caught on to what is being described in all the more fashionable Nation-States as 'so last year', announcing that they too reserve the right to pre-emptive strikes.
Stating that this year's annual military exercises held by US and South Korean military forces constitutes an act of war, North Korea reserved their right to sport the new 'pre-emtive strike' look.
South Korea were not saying much "look they are our neighbours, if they want to wallow in retro stylings and turn up looking naff and 'last year' who are we to complain?" asked the South Korean Minister of International Fashion Relations So Fa Xon.
Meanwhile the Whitehouse had more to say "Well they say mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery, but what the North Koreans have got to realise is timing is key to any good trend. The fact is the military exercises have been going on for years, it's poor taste to use them as an excuse to dress up pre-emptive style all of a sudden. Heck at this point even the 'ol 'it's a different world since 9/11' is past its use-by-date. This simply confirms what the West has known all along. Communists are not sufficiently fashion conscious and always show up in last season's look."
Meanwhile North Korea has published a press release in which they state retro never truely goes out of fashion and that the reaction of the US and others is the typical consumerist driven dogmatic propaganda one can expect from such corrupt and corpulent societies..."what the hell do they know about being fashionable on a budget, they dont face our struggle and cant be expected to understand less wasteful ways of doing things. They think they are better than us just because they can afford fancy stuff like food..."
International commentors have conceeded that the recent announcements from North Korea show a more aggressive attitude and could be of some concern but contend that if worst comes to worst we can buy the North Koreans off with some Big Macs or possibly even Quarter Pounders.
"Those are all beef patties, one shouldnt underestimate their nutritional value" commented pundit Eileen Aniwae de' Winbloes.
