one of those days......

I woke up today after less than 3 hours of sleep last night and a 18 hour day yesterday, I have a 20 hour day today, and my brain is, how shall we say it? oh, right, dead.

I seem to be having some type of problem, I had a hallucination earlier today, I can't hear very well (everything is muffled) and I am seeing spots.

I checked my blood pressure and it's normal (112/60) so the spots are not from high blood pressure.

Anyway, I have to get a ton of stuff done today. I can't take a nap, and I can't take the day off.

I am pretty sure I am going to have to take a day off soon or I will go insane or something else inconvenient.

Anyone else have days like this? how do I fix this?

On a happy note I passed my kidney stone about an hour ago, so I am not in as much discomfort as I have been in lately.

Prehaps you have a middle ear infection.

Sorry I got nothing.

I didnt sleep well and forgot half the shit I needed to bring with me to work. Like the key to get in to work for instance.

have one of your friends watch the kids and go back to bed.

this counts as sick. if you had smallpox you would cancel your 20 hours worth of chores, think of this as the same thing. you arent going to do anything well and if you try something foolish like driving you will get into an accident.

sleep for 12 hours or so then check your mental abilities. if you still see spots, make an appointment with an ophthamologist. or your regular doctor if you have to for insurance reasons.

Bullshit you can't. Would you rather take a day or two now or a week or two after you're hospitalized?

Is it possible that your pain manifests itself in some other manner than other people? Like seeing spots and hallucinating?

I hope that whatever you need to do today is vital (otherwise you shouldnt push yourself that hard when your body and mind are already beyond their efficient limits today) but not very reliant on error free high quality work (otherwise you should not do it while hallucinating).

You dont have to fix this. If you keep pushing your physical limits it will fix itself. Damaging yourself is your choice though. My two cents worth is that I hope you can tolerate running your life in a way that does as little damage as possible. Slowing down a bit when you are overdoing it is not the same thing as surrendering.

You really ought to try to find a way to slip a nap in. Especially if you intend on driving anywhere today.

I seem to have been able to delegate most of the "have to be done today" things, I am not even going to think about the quality of work.....it's not my problem right?

I put the girls down for a nap, as soon as they are asleep I am laying down, if I still feel like this when they wake up, my husband is coming home from work. He wants to come home now, but I thought we should wait and see.

If you are still feeling like that, you ought to consider seeing a doctor because it could mean there's more than fatigue at work. *nod*

Hang on, I have done that before. You cannot do anything else but to brace yourself and try to be brave. I have 2 hours of sleep as I write this, and I don't expect to be in bed before 1:00 am tonight. Coffee is perhaps a..."paliative", as nestea, coke, red bull and the like. Cigarrettes work a lot for me, but you dont seem to be the smoking type, so...

That's common fatigue, continous exhaustation, no need for a doctor or medical treatment, I have suffered the same and there is no avail for it except for a deserved rest, although if you continue that style of living for more than two weeks you will in trouble for sure.

maybe. if there is enough of the spider left to identify call the poison control center and see if they can help you out. brown recluse can be a very bad bite.

Not out of the realm of possibility, but extraordinarily unlikely. Unless the spider looked like this:
http://home7.swipnet.se/~w-70531/Tolkien/shelob/shelob.GIF

Generally speaking, spider toxins of even the most dangerous spiders are nowhere near as dangerous as they're hyped to be. Oddly enough, the most toxic spider in the world is the Daddy Longlegs, and they don't bite. :p

edit: According to Wikipedia, that Daddy Longlegs thing is an urban myth. Damn them. :p

"I can't take a nap but spend time on NSG."

Tell me, Smunkee - what's wrong with that sentence, huh?

Honestly, most of the stuff you've said are either stress-related or due to lack of sleep. That's your problem right there.

Sign off, turn your computer off, and go to sleep! Like, right now!!! That'll help you.

(I have had some stress-induced hearing problems, same goes for seeing colorful dots - sleep and relaxation helps tremendously, I can tell you!).

So, take it easier that you apparently do right now and you ought to be fine.

The worst I've heard of is the Brown Recluse ... Luckily, I don't think they run to the size of a dime, they're quite small. That makes them even more insidious, of course.

:( You probably didn't need to hear that ...

and who will watch the children while I am sleeping?

I can put off everything else, I did anyway, it probably is going to stress me out that I did, but I did it.

NSG is keeping me awake. My kids are smart, but they can't be left without any supervision for hours at a time.

See, that's the biggest problem with homeschooling kids.

Now, shouldn't every household have enough of this in case of a terror attack? That'll keep your kids safe while you take the long deserved nap!!!

The question should be: Why didn't she do what he told her to six months ago.

Doesn't sound like something "just happening now", but more "if you continue like this and don't change your ways, the following will happen", which stage, apparently, has been reached now.

I passed out in the grocery store. He called me back a few minutes ago and said

"you don't sleep enough, you don't eat regularly, and if you die before you hit 30 ,I wouldn't be surprised"

I had about 3 hours of sleep on an already restless week and had a 25 hour day, with about 18-20 hours of constant sunlight. I got searched four times and had precious little to eat.

I hope your days are getting better though, mine did :)
