I may end up making a few similar threads, or at least posting different sets of questions in this thread... regardless, I'm curious as to people's thoughts of these sets of events?
This one:
Russian occupation of eastern europe after world war two. The russians viewed it as a buffer zone against attacks from europe, after being attacked twice in 20 years by germany. Opponents of the USSR viewed it as empire building, influence spreading, etc.
Justified? Good? Evil?
The israeli occupation of the west bank, gaza strip, etc. The israeli's viewed it as buffer zones against their enemies, who kept attacking israel. Opponents of israel and israeli actions viewed it as unjust occupation of sovereign lands.
Again, justified? Good? Evil?
